Number Five: Pripyat
Pripyat, a once lively Ukrainian town, now stands as an abandoned city. the city once housed over 49,000 people and was complete with an amusement park, the Ferris wheel is still standing to this day.
The city was evacuated after nuclear disasters, fearing their safety in regard to the nuclear plants that were nearby.
The evacuation occurred in such a rush that toys are still on desks in classrooms, shoes remaining in people's houses, and the shells of furniture stand, shadowing what the town once was.
Pripyat is a real life ghost town.
Number Four: The Tower of London
The Tower of London is one of the most well known English landmarks, but is it a landmark that you want to visit?
The Tower of London has a dark past of torture and execution of the prisoners of the English people, the countless deaths of tortured souls leading it to becoming one of the most allegedly haunted landmarks on the planet.
Guards of the Tower have often claimed to see apparitions, some of which claim to have seen the ghosts of two children running through the building.
Number Three: Eastern State Penitentiary Pennsylvania
This prison, much like many prisons has a dark past. Easter State Penitenitary was known as the first american prison to introduce solitary confinement, driving many prisoners to madness.
Paranormal occurrences were continually reported, with the reports increasing after the abandonment of the prison in 1971.
Such sightings included the appearance of faces within the cells, bodies roaming the halls, as well as an alleged manic cackling in cell block 12.
With the angry souls of mental prisoners roaming the halls this is one place you certainly dont want to visit.
Number Two: Hotel Provincial New Orleans
Once a civil war hospital, this hotel has gained a name as a haunted location due to the accounts of patrons who visit the hotel.
Reports claim that beds are shaken by unseen forces during the night, most people claiming to have felt a presence with them, some even claiming to have seen figures walking the halls.
This is one hotel that you most certainly don't want to visit, or you may have an unexpected guest come along for the ride.
Number One: Pluckley Village
This village has earned its name as the most haunted village in Britain due to the sightings and occurrences that happen in and around the small village.
According to sources the town is inhabited by the ghosts of Victorian people, most commonly sighted being a woman in Victorian clothing, a headless highwayman, as well as the school master who hanged himself.
The town is also home to the 'screaming forest'(Dering Woods) an aptly named forest due to the town's visitors claiming to hear bloodcurdling screams and terrified shrieks coming from the forest.
Visitors claim that not all of the spirits are friendly, making this one of the top places you never want to visit.
