Mortals Meet Demigods/ One shots

Magnus Chase

I wanted to do one where Magnus meets percabeth because, well, Rick kind of left us on a cliff hanger. Btw, there is The Sword of Summer spoilers. Maybe a few Hidden Oracle ones too. So, um, hope you like it. Disclaimer: This character is also Rick Riordan's, so don't think I made him up.

I was hoping to win the bet Annabeth and I made, considering what I've been through, but I guess it just wasn't enough.

I stared in awe as she told me her story. SHE ACTUALLY RAN AWAY?!?!?! My mind had to do a double take when she told me about her parentage, the battles, and especially Tartarus. As I looked more closely at her, her eyes seemed broken and she had scars all over her body. When she told me about Tartarus, she paused many times, looking at a picture in her phone, (monster proof) before continuing with a look in her eye that said she was barely able to keep herself from going insane when talking about Tartarus. I finally told her she didn't have to tell me about some of that part if she didn't want to. She looked relieved and went on passed that part.

Then, she told me about her boyfriend, Percy Jackson. I'm pretty sure he's crazy. I mean actually going to hell and back for Annabeth. Savior of Olympus???? And the world??? Annabeth at his side. Fighting with their friends and watching so many of them die.

When she was done, three hours later, I stared at her, not wanting to believe she had to deal with monsters at age seven. Sure I've been through a lot of crazy and weird stuff, but Annabeth??? Jeez I can't even compare.

I told her starting from the beginning of the weird stuff. The wolves. I felt myself tear up as I told her about how my mother dies. She looked at me sadly. I kept going, telling her all the details. From stealing a chocolate bar, to almost dying again. I went on for about an hour before finishing. Annabeth also looked amazed.

Then, her phone rang and she picked it up. I listened as she spoke. "Hello?"
"Percy, why are you calling?"
"I miss you too."
"I'm sitting with Magnus."
"No, seaweed brain, he's my cousin. You know I love you." "Apollo became mortal?" "Perseus Jackson, have you been studying at all?"
"You want to study with me? I'm in Boston, seaweed brain. I can't Iris Message you to help; it's hard to do especially after the war."
"Ok, love you too. Bye."

She turned to me. "Sorry Magnus, Percy just updated me on stuff at camp." "No problem," I said. "So I think I won..." She said smugly. I laughed and answered, "Yeah." I bought lunch and we sat down to eat.

Maybe I shouldn't have made that bet. I was so confident I would win. As we were talking about her camp, a yell came from our left. "ANNABETH!" I saw a tall male with black hair and green eyes running toward us. Annabeth's eyes widened. "Percy?!?! What are you doing here? How are you here? Weren't you in Manhattan like 10 minutes ago?" He answered, "I was, but I missed you and I wanted to study with you. So, I called Blackjack to bring me here." That's when I noticed a pure black winged horse behind him. The pegasus flew off after Percy nodded at... Him? Her? It? I stumbled back. "What...?"

Annabeth told me it was fine and then asked, "Seaweed Brain, if you wanted to study, where are your books?" Percy blushed. "Whoops." Annabeth laughed. "Don't worry, I have some. I knew this was going to happen sometime or another. So, Magnus, meet up with you later?" "Sure." I answered, "Bye." "Bye."

I watched them run off, Percy chasing her around the area telling her to stop running. She stopped and turned around kissing him on the lips, and Percy melted into the kiss. Then, he took Annabeth's phone from her pocket and ran off with it. Annabeth, though, was faster than him  and quickly caught up. She tried to take it from him, but he held it over his head, where Annabeth couldn't reach it. Annabeth's face brightened like she thought of something. She kissed him and his arm drooped as he once again melted into the kiss. Annabeth took her chance and took her phone, but along with his.

He looked surprised but then smirked. I noticed a girl about his age behind Annabeth, about to take back his phone. She had short black hair, electric blue eyes, and a weird head tiara thing. She took it and Annabeth turned around. She hugged the girl and screamed, "Thalia!" Percy took that chance to take the phone from 'Thalia'. She pouted saying, "I would have given it back." "Yeah, after you show Annabeth all my deepest darkest secrets."

Annabeth got a mischievous look in her eyes. She kissed Percy once again and took his phone. "Ugh, I have to learn how to resist that." She ran off and Percy and Thalia followed. I compared this Annabeth to the little girl from Thanksgiving. Oh how much people change.
