Chapter seven:

<><><><>

September 9th, 2013.- Saturday.

I made my first doctors appointment today, needless to say it's an hour away. It's too risky making an appointment in my town. If word gets out I'm pregnant, I'll be in some deep shit.

I placed my sunglasses on my head, hoping into my range rover. I backed out of my drive way, trying to focus on positive things, but who am I kidding? My life wasn't going so great. I'm eighteen, pregnant with a guys baby I barely even know. What's so great about that?

I drove an hour deep into my thoughts, I sighed pulling into the parking lot of the doctors office I sat in the parking lot debating if I should go in or just cancel. My nerves were getting the best of me I sighed taking a deep breath, I hopped out of my car locking my doors behind me.

I pushed open the doors walking inside, my heart was in my stomach.

"Hi, your name?"

I jumped turning my attention towards the lady sitting behind the glass window.

"Uh- A'Miyah Taylor." I said signing the white sheet.

"Fill this sheet out, we'll call you shortly." I nodded my head taking the clip board. I sat in the very back pushing my sunglasses on top of my head. I blew out a breath looking at the clipboard in front of me.

"Name: A'Miyah Taylor.

Date of birth: March 14, 1995.

Gender: Female.

Last menstrual cycle: two months ago."

"Ms. Taylor?"

I got up, following the nurse to one of the rooms.

"Dr. Tribbiani will be with you shortly."

I nodded my head biting my bottom lip.

I fiddled with my fingers glancing at the clock, was it just me or was time going by slow?

"Ms. Taylor?"

"Yeah, hi." I said looking up at the woman.

I smiled at her, as she closed the door walking further into the room.

"I'm doctor Tribbiani." She said extending her hand towards me.

"A'Miyah." I smiled at her shaking her hand.

"There's not much we can do today, but I will ask you to pee in a cup it's not really needed since you're starting to show, and you've gone two months without your period but it's protocol." she said smiling at me.

I looked down at my Lil Wayne concert tee shirt she was definitely right my baby bump was slightly noticeable.

I grabbed the cup out of her hands making my way towards the bathroom.

I quickly peed, washed my hands and made my way back towards the room not wanting to be seen. I was paranoid, nervous beyond belief.

Doctor Tribbiani came in shortly after me.

"Well, A'Miyah congratulations on becoming a mom." She smiled at me.

"I would like to see you again in two months, in the mean time get started on vitamins."

I nodded my head, shaking her hand one last time.

"See you in two months."

"Thank you." I said walking towards the door.

"A'Miyah?"

"Yes?"

"Don't worry, you're going to be a great mom. You may be young but that doesn't define your maturity or how great of a mom you're going to be. I can tell you're going to do just great." Doctor Tribbiani smiled at me disappearing into another room.

I inhaled, exhaling making my way back towards the entrance.

Once I was safely inside my car, I let the tears flow. I gripped my steering wheel placing my head on it.

It finally felt real, I mean I already knew I was pregnant but hearing it from the doctor just made it so much more believable.

There was a knock on my window, my head snapped up looking towards the window.

Princeton.

I rolled down the window, quickly wiping away my tears.

"Are you alright?" Princeton said raising an eyebrow at me.

"Yeah-yeah, I'm fine." I said wiping under my eyes.

"You don't look fine."

"It's just been a tough week."

"Right, well what are you doing here?"

Princeton said not believing me but he changed the subject anyways.

"Oh, I'm just waiting on my mom."

I lied.

"What are you doing here?" I said raising an eyebrow at him.

"I'm bringing my mom lunch, like the good son I am."Princeton said lifting a brown paper bag of take out.

I rolled my eyes, starting my car.

"Your mom works here?" I asked him, motioning my head towards the doctors office.

"This is her practice. Doctor Tribbiani."

My heart stopped, my breath caught in my throat.

"R-really?" I choked out.

"Yeah, your mom might be a patient of hers." Princeton's eyes burned into mine. I gulped before speaking up. "Maybe." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"I should probably take this food to my mom before it gets cold." Princeton said tilting his head towards the building.

"I'll see you later Princeton."

"Bye Beautiful one." Princeton smiled shooting me a wink.

I rolled up my window, watching his retreating figure, I blew out the breath I was holding.

I pulled out of the parking lot, my hands gripped the steering wheel my knuckles began turning white.

I gasped remembering I was only wearing a loose tee shirt but you could still see my pregnant belly. I looked down sighing in relief at the sweater that was covering my belly.

"Thank you god." I said, over and over again.

Princeton's mom, was my OBGYN doctor.

Princeton Tribbiani.

Can you say oh shit?

Oh shit.
