Chapter thirteen:

<><><><>

October 6th, 2013. - Monday.

Sometimes things aren't always cut out to be.

In reality, nothing's perfect.

No ones perfect.

You don't know anyone enough to judge them, you either go off on what you heard, or how they carry themselves. You should never judge a book by it's cover.

"He came over your house?"

"He did."

"And he never left?"

"He didn't."

"So what does that mean?"

"It doesn't mean anything Emery, it just means he's in his child's life."

"Well what about you?"

"What about me?"

"How do you feel about it?"

"I'm okay with it, he has every right to be in his child's life."

"That's not what I'm talking about Miyah."

"Then I'm not catching on."

"How do you feel about Princeton and Rayna?"

"What Princeton does is his business, I don't care what he does. Like I said the only time I'll ever care what Princeton does is when it's regarding our child."

"But-"

"But nothing Emery. I don't have feelings for Princeton in any type of way, it was a one night stand it happens."

"This already sounds like a broken family."

"We were never a family."

I shrugged my shoulders implying I was done with this conversation.

"I thought we were done with the sweaters."

"I'm done with the sweaters around the people I told, not in school and not in public, it's all too risky right now."

"Miyah you're getting bigger and bigger everyday. You can't hide it very much longer."

"I know." I sighed closing my locker rubbing my temples.

"Let's not stress out the mommy to be, shall we?"

My eyes popped open, coming into view with Princeton.

Emery scoffed rolling her eyes.

"I'll catch you later Miyah."

"Ciao." I said closing my eyes again.

"Do you want something?"

"And here I thought we were past all of this."

I sighed opening my eyes pushing myself off the lockers.

"What do you want Princeton?"

"Let's go to lunch, I think we should talk."

"And not the cafeteria."

"You mean leave school?" I said raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, leave school." Princeton said rolling his eyes.

"Why can't we talk in the lunch room?"

"Cause I don't think you want the whole school to know you're pregnant."
