"Of course they're not home. They never are. They're always out." I mumbled to myself as I climbed the hill to my front door, examining the seldom filled driveway.

I forced my door open and looked at the kitchen table.

They're was a small folded up piece of paper.

I trotted over to It and opened it up.

"Hey honest, sorry we haven't been home much. We got groceries, we put them up for you, and your dad cleaned up a little bit, and I did the dishes and made your bed, your friend Sammi stopped by and asked us to tell you to call her. There's some cash in the top drawer of your night stand. We love you -Mom & dad."

I slightly smiled at how they had come home, even for just an hour or less. It's nice to know they still cared.

I jogged up the stairs to my room and flung open the top drawer. There was a small bundle of cash, consisting of 100$s 20$s and a few 1$s.

I almost gagged on my spit at the massive amount and tucked it away,

My slight smile turned into a frown as I realized Sammi had wanted me to call her.

I reluctantly picked up my phone and dialed her number.

After 3 ringers she picked up.

"Hey, I saw your folks earlier."

"Yeah, I saw. There was a note, why else would I call."

"Well maybe because you would want to tell me about this picture of you and Tony."

"Oh, and maybe you would want to tell me about you and Jaime...oh I don't know. MAYBE 6 MONTHS AGO." I shouted at her.

She gave a huffed sigh of frustration and hung up.

"Bitch." I muttered as I tossed my phone onto the pillow.

My phone buzzed again and I sighed.

"I clearly don't wanna fucking talk to you Sammi. Give up already," I complained to myself.

But the number hadn't been added.

I cocked my head to the side then realized who the number belonged to.

Tony.

+1 (935) 243 - 8652: can I come over? We need to talk.

I nervously fiddled with the edge of my shirt, and bit on the collar.

Me: sure, my parents aren't home. Don't try anything funny. I'm not afraid to hurt you.

Tony:don't worry.
