Fingerprints that leave me covered for days

"Tony." I breathed out

All of the breath in my body suddenly escaped.

He shoved his hands into his pockets and looked down at the ground.

"Tony, happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling." I whispered, quoting the book I had been reading recently.

He looked up at me without moving his head, he just tilted his head up slightly, peeking at me through a think veil of hair.

"I've known it for a while...I just didn't want to tell you. I knew you hated me." He said, fluttering his eye lashes.

A few tears began to build up at he rims of my now almost bloodshot eyes.

I took the sleeve of my crew neck and wiped the tears away before they could escape.

"Tone, why are you looking so confused, when I was the one who didn't know the truth." I now whispered.

He untangled his thumbs from his pockets and ran both of his hands through his thick, jet black hair.

"Jade, I'm usually that guy that fucks girls at random parties,and just kind of leaves them there. Waiting I see if they'll ever see, or get with me again. I usually just force them to drop off and leave me alone....but Jade."

He fully looked up now, forcing his hair to one side of his face. He Locked his eyes with mine and stepped forward slightly.

"I don't want you to let go." He now whispered.

I cupped my hand over my mouth and just looked at him as tears poured down my face.

"Jade, please don't cry." He cooed to me.

"Tony what am I suppose to do? The guy that I've been avoiding for almost 7 months now sends out a picture of me doing unspeakable things to him, comes into the bathroom where I'm crying and screaming about him, forces me against a wall, makes out with me and forces me into heart breaking memories,then tells me I'm too pretty to cry...and now this." I almost screamed to him.

"Jade, if you let me show you that I'm not the asshole you make me out to be. I won't let you down...and if I do, you can tell everyone that I'm a dickhead that deserves all the horrible things that happen to him." He mumbled.

"Tony, I swear to god, if you break my heart I'll...ill do something horrible to you." I mumbled, almost hating myself for letting him back into my life.

"Jade, I swear I'll love you and keep you protected, nothing bad will happen to you as long as I'm around."

"Spend the night...?" I questioned.

"Whatever you want, and I swear I won't make a move on you again. Unless you ask. And only then." He mumbled.

"Oh look, the badass does have a heart." I chuckled against his chest, still shaking from tears.

"Don't tell anyone." He laughed jokingly
