I heard a slight tap on my front door and my heart pounded.

It had to be him, who else would it be.

I sighed and pulled myself of the bed, mentally preparing myself for the war that was standing behind my front door.

I tugged the heavy golden hardware back and we both just stood there, almost as if we were both waiting for the other to break the ice.

I heard him take a deep breath and I looked at him.

He had perfectly leaned himself in the doorway to where both of his forearms were propped onto the frame, his right foot leaned over the left, his jet black hair swooped to the right side of his face, two small pieces of colored plastic were through his ears, in place of the small diamond studs I had learned to love on him.

"What are those?" I asked, pointing at the things in his ears.

He ran his fingers over the length of one that jutted out of the back of his ear, then glanced up at me.

"Oh, they're called gauges, they just stretch out your lobe. My friend Mitch used to have them, he went ahead and gave me a bunch of his smaller ones....but that's not what I'm here to talk to you about Jade."

"Then what did you want to talk about Tony?" I reluctantly asked, afraid of his response.

He might be here to tell me that he has aids and that I'm in danger of falling over dead any moment now, or I could have forgotten something and he was here to return it to me.

"I need to have a serious talk with you." He said as his chocolate brown eyes peeked from behind his hair, and locked with mine.

Here we go, I'm dead any second now.

"About what?" I questioned him, hoping it wouldn't be my half witted assumption.

"Us." He blankly said.

"Tony, there nothing to fucking say! I'm a hopeless bitch , and you're the guy I'm hopelessly lusting after, even though I know you'll never want me!" I began to shout, raising my voice slightly as I trotted up the stairs.

He shut the door and followed closely behind me.

We both paused in the hall between my room and the upstairs bathroom.

"Jade that's exactly what I need to talk to you about." He almost whispered as he slid his palm against mine.

"Oh great, you're just here to tell me that you think I'm disgusting, and that I was just another one night stand, and you've got a kid on the way, and that you have girls ready to fight me if I won't ' leave you alone.' Is that it Tony? Because I'll gladly leave you alone now." I said as I yanked my palm away from his.

"No. Jade. That's defiantly not it." He quietly spoke, a whispered compared to my furious yell.

He almost seemed embarrassed at what he had to say.

"Jade. I love you."
