Isabella's POV:
I stared up in horror at the two pirates who were staring at us with creepy grins. I was frightened to tell you the truth and I gripped my knife firmly, ready to use it.
"So, what do you think Banks? Which one is she?" The taller man asks a short man and he shrugs. "I wouldn't know. They're both so pretty." Banks says and Darla lets out a whimper.
"Which one of you is the governor's daughter?" Banks asks and I look down. I sure wasn't going to go down without a fight.
I don't know what these pirates want with me but I'll put up a bloody fight before they touch me.
"I am." I answer confidently and Darla gives me a horrified look. "Why would you tell them Miss?" She hisses and I roll my eyes, ignoring her as I watched the two men above us.
"When I say run, you run. Okay?" I whisper and she nods slowly. "Secrets don't make friends." The tall man says and I grit my teeth.
"Good thing I don't want to be friends with you." I snap and both of them laugh.
"We got ourselves a fighter!! Oh he'll love that, won't he Jones?" Banks laughs and Jones nods his head. "I think this was a perfect idea." Jones says, eyeing me.
If I don't act now, it'll be too late.
"Run!" I yell and I jump up, lunging at Banks and knocking him over before slicing his arm. He howls in pain and I see Darla already running out of the room.
I follow her, throwing the broken door in Jones' face before taking off. "Darla! Get out of here and find my mom!" I order and she gives me a look.
"But miss yo-" she starts but I interrupt her. "I'll be right behind you, now go!" I yell and she finally nods her head, running out of the house.
"Come here you bi-" Jones starts but I cut him off by grabbing a pot on the table next to me and hurling it at him, hitting him square in the jaw. He falls to the ground and I see Banks coming out of my room, holding his arm with an angry look.
"I'll get you." He growls and charges me. Oh crap.
I take off in a run, now thankful for my leggings and sweatshirt. If I had been wearing a dress I would've never been able to run.
I run down the stairs and through the house, hoping to lose him.
But for a fat man he was really fast. He's keeping pace with me pretty well.
I duck into my fathers study and close the door, locking it and quickly sliding my dad's desk against the door. I hear him banging on it and soon another pair of hands bangs with him.
Jones is back.
I took in a shaky breath before silently opening up the other door that was on the left side of the room.
I slipped out and closed it again, the silent clicking noise unheard by the loud screams and banging of the two angry pirates.
I started to tiptoe away when they broke down the door. I froze, fear on my face as they realized I wasn't there.
"FIND HER!!!!" The gruff voice, which I've come to realize is Banks' voice, screams.
I take off again, getting a head start on them. They hear me and soon I'm back in a full blown chase.
Well isn't this just fantastic?
I still have my knife with me but I was only going to use that as a last resort.
As I ran past bookcases and tables and stools, I knocked everything down behind me to try to trip them up.
They were screaming profanities at me as I continued to block their paths. I had to get out of this house. I had almost made a full circle within it trying to get away from them.
I just needed to get back downstairs. I just didn't know how to do that right at the moment.
I looked over my shoulder and smirked to myself. They were just now getting past the bookshelf, and they had a few more obstacles to go through after that.
I stopped for a moment, catching my breath as they began to stumble. "I'm not an easy catch, so you can forget about that!" I yell and they both glare at me.
"That captain better appreciate us if we catch this one." Jones growls and I narrow my eyes.
I decided not to question anything and I took off running again. I couldn't let them gain too much on me. I was trying to open up one of the doors that would lead me to the back yard but it was locked.
I tugged and tugged but it wouldn't open and it only unlocked from the outside, which I was on the inside of it. I tugged again and again but the door wouldn't budge.
"No no no nononono. Please open." I whisper and I tugged on it again. And nothing happened. Again.
I cursed to myself and I heard chuckles.
I turned around to see Jones and Banks giving me dirty looks with disturbing grins plastered on their faces. "Looks like she has no where to go?" Jones asked Banks and he nodded.
"She's ours now." He says and I grip my knife. "Never in your dreams." I spit and charge them, kicking Banks in the leg while slicing down Jones arm. They both yell in pain and I slip by them, running towards the front doors.
I wasn't going to let them see how scared I truly was, and I couldn't think about it too much.
I look over my shoulder and gasp. Both of them are closing in on me. Jones grabs my arm and I let out a scream, slapping him across the face which resulted in him letting me go.
I continued to sprint, fear building up in me as they closed in. I was starting to panic, realizing I had just a slim chance of escaping.
Suddenly I ran into someone and they caught my wrists, keeping me from falling but capturing me in their grip.
There goes my only chance of escaping.
I look up to see a young man with bright green eyes and a creepy smirk plastered on his face.
"I'll save you from the pirates."
