3rd Person POV:
The King paced his room, a serious look on his face as he thought about the events that were about to unfold. He knew Harry set this meeting up for a reason, and he also knew that as soon as he set foot in the palace, chaos would erupt. There was no doubt that people would connect the dots, it was impossible not to.
But if Harry does something completely unpredictable, what would happen to the throne that he gained?
Another question posed in his mind: What if it was a different pirate, other than Harry? "No, no it can't be. He's the only one who would question me so openly like this." the King muses, shaking his head again.
How do I prepare myself for this? He thinks to himself as a frown comes to his face. Nothing he could do would fully prepare him for what Harry might pull.
Harry...Harry why choose to show yourself now? You idiot... He thinks with a grim expression, letting out a sigh before looking out the window.
He couldn't see the ocean from here, but the King could just picture Harry smirking at him on his boat, the waves lapping behind him with his arms crossed cockily as Harry thought that he's won. He can't win though!
"Unless I figure out a plan, he has won. He will ruin everything if he shows up now." The King growls irritably, turning away from the window.
A knock on the door interrupts the Kings' line of thought, making his head turn towards the massive doors. "Come in." The King calls and the doors open, revealing a very stressed looking Rob.
"What's wrong?" He asks Rob and Rob sighs sadly. Rob's already had a difficult day, but he knew that coming to the King was a tedious line he had to balance on.
"Governor Perkins is what's wrong. He's wanting us to somehow adjust the pirate's date coming back. He claims seven weeks is too long." Rob says, his mind swirling with the aggravating conversation he just had with Will on the phone.
All Will had been doing is nagging Rob about how Isabella needed to be back in time for the marriage he set up, and that he was going to be outraged if it wasn't changed. He's an idiot, no doubt. Rob thinks, waiting for the King's answer.
"That's something that can't be changed." The King says and Rob nods his head.
"I've learned the name of the pirate, since you had asked the first time I reported to you. His name is Harry, Sire." Rob says and the King cringes.
So my suspicions were indeed right. He thinks to himself before Rob begins to talk again.
"He has the same name as your-" Rob starts but the King silences him by holding a hand up. "Don't. That's not what's important. All we can do is wait for the remainder of time before this will be over." He says clipped and Rob nods his head nervously.
Rob hasn't seen the King so agitated over something like this in a long time. It's been about five years since...that happened.
Rob shakes his head, bowing to the King before turning to leave. "Rob. One more thing before you go." The King says lowly and Rob slowly turns back around, curiosity on his face as he wonders what the King wants.
"Yes, Sire?" He asks and the King gives him a serious look, his green eyes sincere.
"When the time comes that we face Harry, there will be drastic changes." He starts and Rob nods his head, still confused to what the King was getting at.
"If he poses a threat, you or anyone else cannot be afraid to gun him down in an instant. If Harry does what I suspect he will, the entire kingdom will be in trouble." He says darkly and Rob's eyes widen.
He must know Harry somehow...but how? Rob wonders, nodding to the King slowly before turning around, walking out of the throne room to leave him alone.
Rob takes one glance behind him, seeing the King sit down in a chair, letting out a heavy sigh and putting a hand to his head.
The King was still trying to figure out what Harry's motives were, but the agitating thing about this situation is that he didn't know anything about what Harry was doing. He was complete in the dark and the King hated it.
Rob turned away with a sigh, closing the door behind him before going to the stairs, starting to walk down them.
This Harry guy is really causing trouble for us, but should we really go as far as to kill him? The King is turning to the last resort so early in this, it's actually scaring me.
Rob thinks to himself, putting a hand to his forehead with another sigh. "This is getting too complicated." He mutters to himself, going back downstairs to the library.
"The only thing left to do is call back Will and tell him. He's not going to like this, but that's what he gets." Rob says to himself, already dreading the conversation that he will have with that man.
He's really an awful father. Rob thinks with a frown, picking the phone up and dialing the familiar number. The phone rang three times before he picked up, annoyance lacing his tone.
"He better have changed the date." Will spits into the phone and Rob rolls his eyes. "As I said before, and the King agrees with me, there is no way to change the date. We have to wait." Rob says irritated and Will scoffs on the other end.
"I can't wait that long. I told the man Isabella is marrying that she'd be here in three weeks!" He rants and Rob's anger boils. He's had enough of Will's annoying mouth and how he always belittles his daughter.
"Maybe for once you could actually care about your daughter instead of your stupid arrangement!! The date isn't changing and that is FINAL!" Rob yells, slamming the phone down to end the call.
That man doesn't understand anything. Rob thinks bitterly, leaving the library to walk towards the window. He rubs his temples as he walks stressed out, thinking about what's going to be happening over the next few weeks.
How is this all going to work? And what's going to happen in the end? Rob thinks, sighing as he leaned against the windowsill. As Rob thought about it even more, a small frown came to his face and he closed his eyes solemnly.
"This isn't going to end well."
