Isabella's POV:

As Harry said 'fire', all the cannons went off in an almost deafening boom. The Commodore's ship was hit and soon debris and loose pieces of wood were flying everywhere. Fire erupted on the ship from where the cannons hit and I saw people being thrown away by the blast.

I gasped and buried my head in Harry's chest, trying not to look at the burning flames coming off of the Commodore's ship. Harry patted my head and I looked up at him with teary eyes. "Don't kill them, please just let them go." I beg and his jaw stiffens.

"I can't let them go, they'd continue to follow us." He says and a sob comes out of my mouth. Actually seeing the ship burst into flames makes me want to do anything to stop it.

"Harry please, maybe you can-" I start but am cut off by something slamming into the ship and sent me flying to the floor, taking Harry with me.

He landed on top of me and I stared at him with wide eyes. "What was that?" I ask and he curses. "They fired back. Now we have to fight them." He growls and quickly gets to his feet, dragging me up with him.

"Liam! If they are going to fight back prepare a full blown assault! We aren't going to have our ship get damaged." Harry ordered and Liam nodded before running below deck.

"Zayn! Watch the sails and make sure we can get a clear path to leave!" Harry barks and Zayn nods and races towards the sails.

"Louis! Niall! Get started on the damages of that blow, then go for the cannons." He demands and the two pirates nod to him and go to the upper deck.

Harry turned to me and held on to my hand tight. "Stay with me and I'll keep you safe." He says surely and I nod, following him as he stands at the edge of the ship, watching as more cannons are fired.

"If it gets any worse I'm going to have to put you in my cabin. I don't want you getting hurt." He says and I sigh. "Harry I thought you weren't going to kill them." I say and he gives me a weary glance.

"I never said that. I never even told you what I was planning on doing. I'm just having you out here with me so that I can make sure you're safe and that nothing happens to you. Besides, you wanted to see this, correct?" He says and I frown at him.

"I didn't think that you were actually going to...do this. What are you going to do?" I ask him and he let out a heavy sigh. "We are going to have to sink the ship." He says and my mouth drops.

"WHAT?? What about all those people?? They could die!" I protest and he grabs both my hands tight, pushing me up against the railing with a glare. His body pressed against mine threateningly and I gasped in shock.

"Would you rather this ship be sunk and we all die? Or would you rather fight back and live another day?" He growls at me and I open my mouth to say something but nothing comes out.

"Well??" He asks harshly, gripping my wrists tighter, making me wince. "L-live." I stutter and he backs off of me, his face holding a frown. "That's what I thought. Now you aren't going to say another word about this or I'm going to lock you up. Got it?" He snaps at me and I slowly nod my head, not wanting to test his patience right now.

"Good." He says before grabbing one of my hands and leading me towards the deck. "Everyone! Battle stations now! We have to sink the Commodore's ship in the next five minutes or we'll be going down as well." Harry calls out, his voice loud and commanding.

All the crew nodded and raced off to different spots on the ship, doing things to prepare to fire. "Ready the cannons!" Harry yells and men begin to load up the cannons again, preparing for a second round.

"Ready!" Harry yells, his arm going back up in the air. My stomach clenches as I see the Commodore's ship already on fire, people running around over there.

"Aim!!" He calls and I grip his hand tightly, not ready to see them die. I'm sorry. This is all my fault.

"Fire!!!" He shouts, the cannons shooting off as soon as his arm goes down, the loud boom making me wince.

I watch as the Commodore's ship explodes with more debris flying everywhere and some people were blown overboard. I cringed as they hit the water and looked after their sinking bodies with woeful eyes.

I was so wrapped up with the drowning men that I didn't even notice that we were being fired upon.

"Bella get down!" Harry yelled, yanking me to him and wrapping his arms around me, shielding me as he ran to a different part of the deck, just in time to miss a cannon that slammed into the deck where we were standing.

The force sent us to the ground, this time me landing on top of Harry. I opened my eyes to meet his worried ones and my heart was beating erratically.

"Are you okay?" He asks me stiffly and I nod my head, still shocked over this whole thing. "Good." He says relieved and I stand up, offering my hand to him. He gives me a smirk before taking it, letting me heave him up. It didn't take much effort on my part, he practically pulled himself up.

I saw him wince and I looked at him as he began to favor his back. Did he get hurt?? "Are you okay?" I ask, my overprotective side coming into play. It doesn't matter who, if there was someone injured I wanted to help them. I've always been this way, I don't really know why though. I just have.

"I'm fine." He says through gritted teeth and I narrow my eyes. "Thats bullcrap." I snap and he looks at me shocked. Guess he isn't used to being talked to like that. Well, he is going to have to get used to it if he's going to have me here.

"Turn around." I say and he grabs my hand, ignoring me and leading me back towards the deck. "Leave it alone Bella. Nothing's wrong. Plus, there's much more important things to be done." He growls impatiently and I narrow my eyes.

As he begins calling orders out again, I take a quick look at his back before gasping. He is such a liar!!! He's not okay, he can't be with an injury like this!!

A piece of wood is sticking out of his back, obviously from debris and from us falling. He was bleeding and needed immediate attention. Even if it wasn't a big piece of wood, that could turn into a nasty injury. "Harry, I-" I start but he just gives me a hard look.

"Don't worry about it!" He says aggravated and I huff before more cannons are fired. I look over, seeing the Commodore's ship beginning to sink. "Zayn! Tilt the sails to the left! We're sailing off now! They're done for." Harry calls up to Zayn and he nods before adjusting the sails.

"Steer us out of here. We've won." Harry says and the crew cheers victoriously. We sail away, the Commodore's ship sinking behind us as we drift further and further from it.

"Congratulations, Bella. You have officially survived your first ship fight." Harry says with a smirk and I can't help but smile. "Thanks." I say before staring off at the sinking ship.

Sadness dwelled in me and I sighed before Harry began leading me back to the cabin. "We'll celebrate our win once the damage is assessed and everything is cleaned up!" Harry announces and the crew nods, getting to work immediately. Once we got in the cabin he closed the door, releasing a heavy sigh.

I remembered his back and I grabbed his shoulders, dragging him to the bedroom with determination on my face. "Umm...may I ask just what you think you are doing?" Harry asks amused and I give him a hard look.

"Hush, now." I say and force him to sit on the bed. He frowns at me, obviously not liking being told what to do. "You can't boss me around." He says childishly and I roll my eyes, grabbing one of the strips from my sweater and pouring water on it. It'll be my makeshift rag for now.

"Well you're hurt and I don't care what you say, I'm helping you." I say, coming back over to him while he gives me an irritated look. He really hates being told what to do, that's so cute. I blink away the shock of what I actually thought and shake my head, trying not to think that I actually called him cute.

"I told you I was fine, I can-" he starts but I cut him off, holding up a finger to his lips and giving him a hard stare. "I really don't care what you can do or what you said. The piece of wood in your back is saying differently. So you are going to be a good boy and listen to me." I say harshly and amusement dances in his eyes.

"So now you can give orders?" He scoffs and I smirk at him. "Yes, I'm giving orders and you are going to listen." I say and his eyes darken in lust. "I guess I can do that." He says coolly and I take a deep breath before nodding my head.

Don't let him get to you, that's all.

I order him to turn around and he does, his back now facing me. "This is going to hurt, okay?" I warn him and he huffs. "Fine." He grumbles and I grab the piece of wood gently before beginning to remove it.

He sucks in a deep breath and his muscles clench, obviously from pain. "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry." I say quickly, getting it out of his back and throwing it to the floor.

He lets out a breath, along with a string of curses. "Please tell me you're done." He says stiffly and I sigh. "Not yet. Umm...actually, I-I uhh..." I trail off, my cheeks turning red in embarrassment.

"What?" He asks, his face turning around to look at me. "I...I need you to...t-take off your...shirt." I mumble and a smirk grows on his face. "Fine by me." He says and in one swift movement, throws his shirt off his body and onto the floor. Show off.

I gulp as I stare at his bare back, his muscles hard and defined. Surprisingly, there are no tattoos adorning his back, it's perfectly bare. I shook my head, clearing my thoughts before looking at his injury. "Lucky for you it wasn't too deep." I say, putting the makeshift rag I had made on it.

He winced and I sighed. "I'm sorry, I wish this didn't hurt you." I say, wiping off all the blood before going and rinsing the rag off.

I walk back to him and apply it once more, focusing on getting the bleeding to stop. "You really wish it didn't?" He whispers lowly and I gulp, staring at his back.

"Y-yes." I answer and he takes a deep breath. "Even though I did all those things?" He asks and I bite my lip, glad he can't see me.

"I...I don't think you should ever get hurt." I say and blush, realizing that I didn't word that correctly. I need to learn to word my sentences better. That way I wouldn't be in situations like this. Before I can explain myself, Harry turned around and grabbed my waist, pulling me to the bed before he put his legs on either side of me, straddling me.

"You don't think I should ever be hurt. Why is that?" He asks me, his voice low and sultry. I take in a shaky breath, ready to fix my little slip up.

"N-no, I-I don't like an-anyone getting hurt." I stutter, flustered by Harry's forward actions.

"Are you sure? Because that's not what you said." He says, getting closer to my face. My cheeks are on fire right now, I'm blushing so hard. "I...I didn't-" I try but he cuts me off.

"Didn't you say you didn't want me to get hurt?" He whispers, his lips now right by my ear and I gasp. "I did." I manage to get out and he pulls back just enough to look into my eyes, his green ones dark as they looked at my lips.

"That actually means a lot to me." He says happily and I can't help the smile that appears on my face. He sounded like such a little boy, being awarded for doing something good.

"I need to finish your back." I whisper, trying to get out of this situation and Harry smirks at me. "Is that an order?" He asks and I nod my head. "Yes it is." I say and he chuckles, bringing his body down on mine, making me gasp in shock.

"Too bad I don't take orders."
