So, this is the chapter EVERYONE'S been waiting for...the chapter where everything is revealed!! So hang tight and read on! I hope you like this!!!
Isabella's POV:
We were in the carriage, on our way to the Royal Palace. I was extremely nervous, never having met the King before in my life. I've heard of him, and I've seen his father, but I've never actually seen him. This was an all new experience, for all of us, I'm sure.
Harry seemed rather complacent with this whole trip, leaning back against the seat with a lazy expression on his face. For someone who was almost killed, he looked rather at ease.
The other four boys who were with us were a little like me; nervous and antsy. No one was talking as Rob drove the carriage, the silence making me sigh. Finally, I decided to break that silence by asking Harry a question.
"Umm, Harry...just what exactly do you plan on doing once you meet the King?" I ask and he just smiles at me, an amused expression on his face. "Now, if I told you that, it wouldn't be a surprise, would it?" he teases me and I glare at him with a huff.
"Don't worry, Harry has a good plan." Louis says, snickering with the other boys and I frown. "Oh, so they get to know and I don't? That's not even fair!" I say and Harry just pats my head.
"It'll be alright. You don't need to know anything yet." he says and I frown at him again. He was being secretive, and they all knew it. They just wouldn't tell me.
"You're so mean." I mutter and Harry chuckles at me. Rob glances back into the carriage, Harry turning the other way so that he wouldn't meet his eyes. Does Harry not like Rob or something? He saved us, Harry should be happy!
I was going to question it when Rob just shook his head, looking back out towards the front, driving the horses. I heard Harry mutter under his breath before looking out the window again. Frowning at him, I let myself begin to wander, not being able to do anything else about the situation.
Did Harry know Rob from somewhere? If he did, they obviously didn't have good blood between them. Either that or Harry was just trying to avoid him. Maybe because he's one of the King's councilmen?
My mind continued to swirl around like this, unable to come to a conclusion for hours. After about four or five hours, the carriage we were in came to a stop. "Well finally." Niall grumbles and I can't help but giggle.
We are led out from the carriage, me in front, followed by Harry and his crew. Rob looked at me before nodding his head, walking towards the large palace that was in front of us now. It was looming in the sky, tall and magnificent.
My eyes widened at the sight, never seeing something as beautiful as this. "Well, some things never change." Harry mutters and I look back at him. "Huh?" I ask and he gives me a grin. "I've been here before. But it was a long time ago. I still cause trouble for these guys." Harry says with a chuckle and I nod my head.
We were escorted by guards on all sides of us, Rob leading in the front. I felt like a prisoner, the way we were led, but at least we didn't have chains around our wrists like my father had us in. The guards didn't seem to be threatened by our appearance, knowing that we had to speak to the King. We wouldn't put up a fight now, it would be idiotic of us if we did.
Once we got to the palace gates, Rob had two guards open them, revealing the inside, which was even more impressive than the outside. It was a privilege to me just being here, if it weren't under these circumstances.
I smiled broadly as we entered, the chandeliers hung high on the cieling made light shine down, creating different shades of light in the room. Rob led us to some stairs and I couldn't help but look up them, seeing that they led to another floor, but the stairs were a bit steep and went up for about thirty feet.
"Those are some long stairs." Louis says, his eyes wide and Rob chuckles at our reactions. "Don't worry, you get used to them." Rob reassures us and I frown.
"But we haven't been here long enough to get used to them." I mutter and Harry chuckles behind me. We begin the trek up the stairs, looking around us as we went. The guards were no longer with us, and it was just Rob. I'm sure the King would have some sort of guards around him when we came, so I knew that we were still under survelliance.
By the time we got to the top, I was nearly out of breath. Rob turned and saw us before chuckling to himself, walking forward again despite some of us not being able to breathe.
We got to a large door and Rob stopped, turning towards us. "I'll go see if the King is ready for you. If you'll please wait here." Rob says and we all nod to him as he opens the door, going inside and closing it behind him.
"Bella, whenever we go in, I'll be going in last, alright?" Harry says to me and I frown at him. "Why do you want to go in last? It's you he wants to see!" I say and he just chuckles. "I want it to be a surprise." he says and I roll my eyes.
Before I can say anything else, the door opens and Rob nods his head to us. "He's ready to see you." Rob says and we all nod, going into the wide open door that led into the throne room, I suppose.
As we walked in, I saw someone sitting in a chair by the window, their legs crossed and their eyes closed in thought. Is he the King?
As we entered, the man got up from where he was sitting and faced us. My face paled and I stopped walking immediately, the other four boys behind me doing the same thing. Except, they weren't as shocked as I was.
The man smiled at me, obviously knowing my shock in the situation. "He didn't tell you, did he?" the King says and I just shake my head, not being able to process what I'm seeing.
"This is working out just as planned."
Harry's voice boomed into the throne room and I turned towards him. He had a big smile on his face as he walked up towards the King, who was holding a grin on his own face. "I'm so glad that you didn't refuse to see me, Your Majesty. I would've been so devastated." Harry says, bowing to the King mockingly and the King just laughs.
"After I knew it was you? Not a chance." the King says and I look from Harry to the King, not knowing what to do. The similarities between them are...too close. The same brown, curly hair. The same green eyes, even the same smirk was held on their faces.
As Harry goes up to the King, he puts an arm around his shoulder, looking at us with a grin. There are TWO HARRY'S?? I think as he begins to laugh.
"You're twins?" I finally ask and the King laughs. "Yes, that we are." he says and I feel stunned. The grins on their faces made me freeze, not knowing what else to do. Harry gestures to the King, finally formally introducing us to him.
"Bella, meet my twin brother, King Edward the Third."
And there it is! A lot of you were thinking that it was his father, and you were close on that! But here's the truth! I hope you like this chapter! Please Comment and Vote! xx
