Josh's pov

Yeahh..
...nah.
I still feel I'm in a pissy mood.
I guess not even a shower can wash away the intense hate I have for having to go to school.

I did a little huff and walked out of the bathroom and padded my way down the hall, probably leaving a trail of wet foot prints behind me as I walked into my room.

I shut the door behind me and saw spooky Jim (a.k.a my sweet child/drum set) sitting in the corner of my room gleaming away.
I clicked my tongue and made finger guns at her as I walked through my room and over to my draws, yes spooky jim is a her.

I yanked on the knobs of the draw as I slid it open, getting a waft of that woody smell. I pulled out my stupid school T-shirt and the rest of the crusty ass uniform and threw it on my unmade bed.

I turned around and was about to drop my towel.
"I just can't do it." I said as I put my hands on my hips.
"I feel like you're watching me." I extended my hand out as I spoke and then put it back on my hip.

I tutted and walked over towards Spooky jim.
I threw a blanket over her.
"There we go."

I got dressed into my uniform and sprayed myself down with deodorant. I then opened up another draw where I had all different kinds of drumsticks and CDs. This is also where I stashed my addictions that mom would have a fit about if she ever saw them.
She knows not to touch any of my drum gear or music for her own safety, that's why this draw is the safest place to stash stuff.
Slipping the cigarette packet and my lighter into my pocket, I went to dash out of my room then remembered though to pull the blanket off spooky jim before I left.

I blew her a kiss before I closed the door behind me and jogged down the stairs.

Jumping off the last step I realised I didn't hear any noise, so I'm guessing mom has already headed off work.
I slipped on my shoes instead of bothering to make breakfast. I wasn't hungry anyway.
I grabbed my backpack that was carelessly slumped near the front door where I dumped it after coming home from school. I don't particularly like bringing my school bag into my room, that just gives my room bad vibes, why would I want to drag homework and dreadful text books into the only place where I can truly relax?

I slung the strap over one of my shoulders and pulled the spare house key out of my school bag so I could lock the door behind me.

Later on I walked through the empty school hall, hearing my shoes tapping softly against the hard floor, enjoying the silence.
Somehow I ended up getting to school early, which is unusual for me, but I found it was actually rather nice as barely anyone was around. I can walk freely without having unwanted sweaty and grumpy teenagers bumping against me in a crowded space.

I decided that I would spend my free time smoking near the dumpsters until kids started to show up.

I was so surprised that I ended up getting to school early that I considered it must be the weekend or a holiday, and that would explain why no one was around.
But no, it was just an ordinary school day and I had failed to check the clock before I left.

I walked through the school grounds, already pulling out my cigarette packet and lighting one up. It's not like anyone was here to see me and I don't think any teacher would really care to do anything about it if they saw me.

I turned the corner of the painted brick wall and was surprised to see pretty boy.
He was sat quietly on the concrete with his legs crossed and a little carton of milk in his hands as he sucked up the creamy drink with a straw.

He looked up at me, his warm caramel coloured eyes looking just as surprised to see me as I was him.
He quickly looked down shyly and continue to drink his milk.
