"I'll be right back," Sean said, standing up from the couch and disappearing into the hallways darkness.

It was just him, y/n, and Serris at their house. Sean's family was on a business trip with y/n's family, all the way in Colorado, and Sarah was at work for the night.

"So, do you like Sean?!" Serris practically screamed. She knew that y/n did, but she wanted to hear her say it.

"Serris, shut up! Sean could walk back in any second!" Y/n groaned, turning towards the hallway to make sure Sean wasn't there.

Sean had just gone to get his phone which he left on his bed, and he soon returned to the living room.

"I think he likes you," Serris beamed.

Sean froze, hiding behind the corner so he could listen to their conversation without being caught.

"I doubt it," y/n replied, snorting. "Why would he like me? I mean, there are better girls."

Sean frowned, why would she say that? Y/n was amazing, and truth was, Sean did like her. But he didn't have the courage to tell her, or ask her out.

"Shut up," Serris rolled her eyes. "Well, you never answered my question, do you like him?"

The moment of truth, Sean thought.

"Yes, of course I do. How couldn't I?" She chuckled. Sean thought she had the cutest laugh.

"See! I knew it," Serris triumphantly yelled, throwing her fist in the air. Sean couldn't help but smile.

She actually likes me, he thought, leaning against the wall and smiling even bigger. Then he had an idea. This is it, he thought.

Pulling his phone out from his pocket, he quietly texted Serris.

to: sir rice (lol)
Just heard the whole conversation. Im literally hiding behind the corner. Make up an excuse to leave the room so I can make my move!!! pLS

He heard Serris' phone ding, and he stood there quietly waiting for his big sister to leave.

"I'll be right back, I'm gonna go find Oreo," Serris told y/n, standing up from the couch and walking out of the room. Y/n was now alone in the living room, but not for long.

Sean took a deep breath and walked in.

"I'm back," he said simply, falling onto the couch next to where y/n was sitting.

She immediately blushed, wondering if Sean had heard any of her and Serris' conversation. She criss-crossed her legs and smiled softly.

"Hey, I think I know this really cool recipe for these chocolate chip cookies, we should make them," Sean suggested, sitting on the edge of the couch.

Raising her eyebrow questioningly, y/n slowly nodded, a smile appearing on her face as Sean stood up excitingly.

"Are they just normal chocolate chip? Or do they have someth- what are you doing?" Y/n questioned as, somewhat startled as Sean pushed her into a chair near the island.

"You sit here, I'll make the cookies," the older boy laughed, giving her a tempting look before walking into the kitchen.

Y/n sighed and rolled her eyes half-heartedly. Sean kept looking back at her as he prepared the cookies, biting his lip in contemplation each time.

The smaller girl became nervous when Sean stopped abruptly, drumming his fingers against a bowl.

Y/n looked around nervously, wondering when Serris was going to come back into the kitchen.

Then Sean turned around, taking a deep breath as he slowly made his way over to the brown eyed girl.

The look in his eyes was so... Amorous that it made y/n's heart beat erratically. For some reason she couldn't tear her eyes off the boy.

"Let's talk, yeah?" Sean asked, sitting down on one of the bar stools next to her. He grabbed her hands.

Y/n nodded nervously.

"Don't be nervous, it's nothing bad," he attempted to soothe her by rubbing his thumbs over the back of her small hands.

The truth was, Sean looked and felt more nervous than she did. He was finally going to do it.

"I heard yours and Serris' conversation earlier," he admitted. Growing extremely embarrassed, y/n's eyes widened in fear, and she stood up to walk away.

Sean immediately pulled her back down. "No! The thing is... I-I like you too, y/n, for a very long time."

She felt the blush rising to her cheeks, it was inevitable. The butterflies in her stomach we're swarming, and her hands were sweating.

Then Sean did the unexpected. He kissed her. Y/n sighed contently into his mouth. Slowly, her hands found the back of his neck, tugging on his hair lightly.

His lips tasted sweet, like strawberries. It was weird, but it felt so good. Y/n was sliding off the chair, but she couldn't bring herself to pull away.

Sean smiled, making y/n do the same. Her pecked her lips one last time before resting his forehead on hers and looking deeply into her eyes.

"For a very long time."

I am so so sorry for not posting. I've been a little busy lately. Also, school starts this week and I am terrified. But that also means I won't be able to post much because I am starting high school so I expect to be piled with work and stress. I'm very sorry but I hope you all understand.

Love always,

Jalynn
