A month later

Ellie:

Tate doesn't even look at me now. Jake made sure of it. After Jake and that wolf rescued me from him, he didn't come to school for the rest of the week. On Monday, he came back with loads of stitches and cuts all over his face and body. He didn't even look at me during class. I've been sitting with Jake and his friends at lunch now. Paul and Embry are there and I love them. Then there's Jared and he's pretty nice and his girlfriend Kim who I have a feeling that we're going to be pretty good friends.

Jake is always randomly busy. We'll be hanging out and all of a sudden he says he has to leave. That's what he's doing right now, we were hanging out at my house when he said he had to leave and that he'd be back as soon as possible.

Poor Bella, she's so sad all the time. We've never gotten along but I want to be there for her. I walk up to her room but she's not there.

"Bella!" I call, I swear I saw her a moment ago. I look out the window in her bedroom and see her truck pull out of the driveway. I run down the stairs quickly and go to the driveway.

"Bella!" I yell, jumping in front of the truck before she can drive away.

"What Ellie?" She says.

"Um, where ya going?" I ask awkwardly.

"I need to see him." She says blankly.

I raise my eyebrows, "See him?"

"I'm leaving Ellie. Do you need something?" She says curtly.

I don't trust Bella on her own, "I want to go with you! Let's go see him!" Who's him again?

"No. You're just going to make fun of me." She says.

"No Bell's, I promise I won't. Please let me go with you." I beg her, I'm worried about my older sister.

"Fine. Get in." She says.

I smile and get in the truck. After a few minutes I try to start conversation.

"So... Where is he?" I ask Bella.

"See?! You're making fun of me!" She exclaims.

"Bella!" I exasperate, "I promise I'm not making fun of you! I just want to get to know you!"

She lets out a deep breath, "Okay. Fine. I can only see him when I'm in danger, so I have to be in danger and I know just the place."

Now I'm scared. I don't know what to do. I decide to text Jake... He knows Bella best.

Me- Jake, Bella's scaring me. Who's him?
