So gather all the rebels now, we'll rabble-rouse and sing aloud
We don't care what they say, no way, no way
And we will leave the empty chairs to those who say we can't sit there
We're fine all by ourselves

Ellie:

I hear a dull beep in my ear. My head doesn't hurt as badly as before. Everything is silent except for the beep. I wonder what happen after I fell asleep...

I slowly try to open my eyes but it burns. I close my eyes and start again. After a few attempts of getting my eyes used to the light, I can finally get them open.

I groan when I finally open my eyes the whole way. I blink a few times and look around the room. Then I see Jake rush over to the side of the hospital bed.

"Jake?" I ask, "What're you still doing here?"

"You really thought I'd leave you?" He asks, looking hurt.

"I'm surprised you even took me to the hospital." I chuckle lightly.

Jake looks hurt but doesn't say anything.

"So where's Bella?" I ask him.

"She's calling Charlie to tell him that's you're awake. He had to go to work. She should be back in a minute." He tells me.

I nod, thinking about how this is all Bella's fault.

"Ellie," Jake says, "I need you to tell me the truth. How did you fall down the stairs?"

I'm taken back by his question. Bella told him what 'happen', why doesn't he believe her? She is the love of his life and he would do anything for her, so why didn't he believe her?

"Um, I thought Bella told you." I said nervously, "I'm a klutz, I just lost my footing and fell down."

I don't know why I lied for Bella but I did.

Jake just looks at me sadly as if he knows that I'm lying.

"Elizabeth Swan!" I hear Charlie yell as he walks in the room.

"Hey Charlie." I say sheepishly.

"Why were you running upstairs? Do you know what it's like getting the call that your daughter is in the hospital?" He says. He's not mad but I think he's yelling because he was worried.

"I'm really sorry Charlie."

His expression softens, "It's okay. I'm just glad you weren't permanently hurt. That was the longest three days of my life waiting for you to wake up."

Three days?!

"Wait, how long was I out for?" I ask.

"About three days." Jake cuts in, "You passed out before we could get you into the hospital. It's because you had a pretty bad concussion."
