Know that I've been waiting for so long! You're all that I see
I can't stop this feeling oh no
It's taking over me
Feel the mercury rising
I feel your baseline bumping
Hear it in your rhythm
You got my heartbeat pumping

Oh I can't stop it, No I can't control it
Can you feel it overloading
Oh overloading, You can't stop it
No you can't control it
Can you feel it overloading
Oh overloading

Chapter goal- tell me where you're from
(I'm from California)

Ellie:

"So you mean to tell me that you can turn into a wolf but you can't pass your driver's test?" Paul laughs.

"Shut up." I frown.

Paul just smirks and keeps on driving.

Jake is taking his dad to the doctor today so Paul is driving me around. I finally turned 16 which means I can theoretically get my license.... except the fact that I'm a terrible driver.

"Okay remember what we practiced?" Paul asks me as we pull up to the Forks DMV.

"Drive on the right side of the road, look over my shoulder when I switch lanes, make sure the car is in park when I get out." I tell him confidently.

(A/N funny story, I'm a horrible driver and all the things that Ellie needs to remember are things that I have to remind myself all the time)

"You've got this!" He says enthusiastically.

"I've got this!" I confirm.

"I've got this!" I confirm

Paul gets out of the car and I get in the driver's seat and wait for the person who's going to test me.

I buckle in a take a deep breath. I can do this. I don't want my boyfriend or the pack to drive me around for the rest of my life. But if I fail I can just phase and run everywhere.... that doesn't sound too bad.

The instructor gets in the car while I'm lost in thought.

"What? Sorry." I ask him after he says something that I didn't catch.

"Pull forward." He says with zero emotion, looking down at his clipboard.

I put the car in drive and slowly pull out of the driveway. After fifteen minutes of going through neighborhoods, highways, switching lanes, intersections, and stop signs, I finally get to go back to the DMV.
