I'll be waiting for you when you're ready to love me again
I'll put my hands up
I'll do everything different
I'll be better to you,
I'll be waiting for you when you're ready to love me again
I'll put my hands up
I'll be somebody different
I'll be better to you

Ellie:
filler chapter

"Jake calm down!" I snap

We phased back and he's pacing around the house angrily. Luckily I left clothes here before we broke up and there were leggings and a hoodie here.

"How are you so calm about this?!" He yells at me.

I stand up from my place on the couch, "Don't you fucking dare yell at me."

He suddenly looks taken aback and stops pacing.

"You have no place yelling at me or being mad about this. It's Bella's choice. Besides, Edward isn't turning her against her will like you did to me!" I snap at him.

Guess my secret is out. He finally knows that I hate phasing and being a wolf. I promised myself that he would never know but I'm so pissed at him. He has no business yelling at me after he turned me and broke up with me.

"Ellie." He says quietly, his voice and face dropping from his previous angry stance, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Why do you care?" I ask bitterly, "You're my imprint and you left me on my front porch."

"I thought I did the right thing." He says sadly, looking at the ground.

"Whatever." I tell him, "I'm going to bed."

I give him a cold shoulder and head to the guest room.

I curl up on the bed, not bothering to get under the covers. A few tears fall from my eyes and fall down my cheeks. About fifteen minutes later Jake comes in the room. He has the same tear stained cheeks as I do.

"I don't want to be alone." He says quietly.

I nod and he climbs in bed next to me. He ever so gently, as if he's afraid to break me, wraps his arms around me. I rest my head in the crook of his neck and let out a deep sigh.

"This doesn't change anything." I mumble as my eyes get heavy.

"I promise I'm going to redeem myself." He says, laying us down.

I nod absentmindedly as I doze off.

I wake up to the sun hitting my face. I sit up and look around. Jake is gone. I shrug, it's not like we're a couple. We're not friends, we're not enemies, we're just strangers with the same memories.

I get out of bed and go to the kitchen. Jake is sitting at the table eating cereal. I don't even say good morning as I pour myself a bowl.

"So I was thinking that we could go to the Port Angeles Zoo today." Jake says.

I stare at him blankly, "I told you last night didn't change anything."

"And I told you that I was going to redeem myself." He counters, "Plus how are you going to get home, you didn't drive here and I know you won't phase."

"Fine. You're paying."

I sleep in the car to avoid the silent awkwardness. Once we get to the zoo, Jake pays for our tickets and we head to the Africa section of the zoo.

"Oh my god Ellie, we can feed the giraffes." Jake says excitedly.

"What's holding you back?" I ask him.

He smiles broadly and pays the $3 to pay the giraffe, snapping a quick selfie afterwards.

"You're a dork." I chuckle

"You're just jealous." He teases, sticking his tongue out at me.

I'm surprised about how much fun I had at the zoo. I'm not ready to be back with Jake but I'm glad we can stand to be around each other.

After the zoo, Jake drops me off at home.

"Thanks for today Jake. I had fun." I tell him, keeping my stoic facial expression.

"I'll see you soon El." He smiles and drives off.
