Dan and I are sitting in his room. He's on his bed while I'm sitting at his piano, playing random songs. After I finished playing yet another Fall Out Boy song, I look to Dan, and he's looking directly into my eyes, smiling.
"Why are you staring at me?" I ask with a smile back.
"I've been staring at you ever since you sat down at the piano, my dear."
I roll my eyes and stand up. I head over to his bed and jump directly on top of him, and he lets out a groan. "Don't 'dear' me, hoe." I say.
"I can 'dear' whoever I want." He smirks and we both laugh, quoting our texts to each other from yesterday.
It's silent for a few seconds, and we just stare at each other.
"You really are the most attractive guy I've ever seen." I say with a smile.
"And I have to admit, you're quite beautiful yourself." He smiles back up at me.
I feel like a child saying that I got butterflies in my stomach, my cheeks turning red from his compliment. I lean down, resting my forehead against his. "Thank you." I whisper.
Before I could react, he leans up and presses his lips to mine. The moment was short and sweet, and I savored every second of it.
When he leans back, he sighs, "I wonder if that was our first kiss."
"We slept together, so I highly doubt it," I say, "But it was definitely the first kiss between us that I'll actually remember."
"Yeah," he responds quietly, then smiles and touches my nose. "Boop."
I laugh and lean up, finally getting off of him.
"So...I'm bored. What should we do?"
"We can go out for dinner still." He suggests.
I shrug, "It's kind of late already and I'll be really tired soon. How about I just cook us something?"
He excitedly gets off the bed, grabbing my hand and we head to the kitchen. "I've never had someone cook for me before, I mean Phil has cooked for the two of us, but his cooking sucks."
"I'm not a professional, I'm not that good," I say with a laugh, "what do you want me to fix?"
"I don't care, just fix something." He says, rummaging through cabinets.

An hour passes, and Dan and I finish the pasta that I made. He won't stop complimenting me on how good my "cooking skills" were, and it's getting annoying.
"Okay, Dan, I get it. You thought I did a good job."
"I'm serious! You should be-"
"-It wasn't that big of a deal. All I did was put pasta, from a box, in boiling water. Then I seasoned it. Jesus, Dan, you're acting like I just won an Academy Award."
"Yeah the first part was easy, but you seasoned it so perfectly, I just-"
I press my lips against his to get him to stop talking. He pulls me into his lap, and I lean back. "Shut up."
He bites his lip, "I'll be talking a lot more often if it means you'll do that to shut me up."
I smack him on the arm, "You're such a flirt."
He shrugs, "I can't help that you're just so-"
"-Stop," I hiss, getting off of his lap and standing up. I turn to look at him, and he's pouting.
"I'm sorry."
I roll my eyes, heading to go grab some pajamas out of my suitcase.
I start to take off my shirt and, of course, I hear Dan behind me. "Dan! I'm getting changed here!"
"Nothing I haven't seen before."
I can hear the smirk in his voice and I sigh, putting my pajama top on. I turn around, shoving him out the door. I then slam it shut and quickly put my pajama shorts on. When I open the door, he's still standing there.
"Well, aren't you just following me around like a lost puppy?" I grab my laptop and walk past him, hoping he'd follow me.
But he just stood there in the same spot, "Look, Rachel, I'm sorry."
I sigh, "Don't be. Go grab your laptop and come sit with me on the couch."
•••
Dan and I sit on our laptops until Phil and Maiara get back.
"Hello!" I hear Phil's voice.
"Hiya!" Maiara says afterwards.
"Hey," Dan and I both mumble at the same time.
"They're in their browsing positions, better not disturb them." Phil says quietly.
Maiara giggles and I see her and Phil walk past us with some shopping bags.
I look at the time, it's 11. "God, I need to get to sleep," I say shutting my laptop lid and stretching. "Goodnight, Dan."
I start to get up and walk away, "Hey, wait for me." He responds.
I nod, but continue to his bedroom. I climb into his bed and I sigh happily. The next two weeks are going to be heaven.
I'm about to fall asleep until I hear Dan enter the room.
He looks down at me and smiles, "I thought I told you to wait for me."
"I'm sorry," I whisper, "I'm just so tired."
My eyes follow him around the room, and when he changes clothes, I try to look away, but I can't help but just stare at him in awe.
He turns around and notices me staring, and slightly smiles, "I don't get why you're staring, there's nothing to stare at, really."
I shake my head, "You're perfect."
He lays next to me, pulling me closer to him, "Thank you." He whispers.
I lean my head on his chest, "Anytime, Dan."
"Hey, look at me," He commands.
I lazily look up, "Hmm?"
He leans up, pushing my hair back and away from my face. "You're prefect, too."
I smile, thank him and was about to lean back down, until he kisses me.
I'm the first to lean back and he frowns, "I want to kiss you forever."
"I'm tired. Tomorrow we'll do nothing except lay here in your bed all day, okay?"
He nods and smiles, "Sounds good."
"Okay, goodnight, Daniel."
"Goodnight, Rachel."
That night, I fell asleep with my head on Dan's chest, listening to the sound of his heart beating.
