(The school)
Didn't he ask me this before? Oh who cares, my heart is pounding hard and fast. It almost feels like he can hear it and feel it. He was looking into my eyes waiting for answer.
"Yes." I finally answered.
He smiled and he lets me go. I went over to my backpack, and pulled out the paper Mrs. Johnson sent me home with. "So this is what we have to do for the weekend." I said, as I looked at the paper. "First before you begin, make sure you have your partner is with you." I read from the paper.
"Go on." He smiled.
"Second you will give each other quizzes, the first person gives the quiz to the second person and then when second person is done with their quiz, the first person checks it off. Third, Second person gives the first person the quiz and then the second person checks off the first person's work after they're done. And then Fourth, bring it to the teacher when school is back up again."
"Remember, we're supposed to do this on the weekend," He reminded me, I nodded my head. "Do you want to do the fundraiser?" He asks me.
"Sure, I would love to." I answered as I put the paper away.
"Okay, let's head to the school." He says and then he goes out of my room. I follow behind him. I grab my keys that are on the kitchen counter and I lock the door behind me. He is already in the car with the car running. I go in the passenger seat and he backs out of my drive way.
We arrive at the school and he parks the car. We head in the school building and we see Mrs. Kya and the rest of the teachers talking. We go up to them and they spot us.
"Mrs. Kya, it isn't too late to do the fundraiser, right?" I asked.
"It isn't," She answers, "Do you two want to do the fundraiser?" She asks.
"Yes, we do." Drake answers quickly.
"I will get the stuff you will be selling around the neighborhood, just wait here." Mrs. Kya runs off down the hallway and then disappears when she takes a left.
"Hi Mr. Genova," Drake said as he gets his father's attention.
"Hi Drake, how's it going back at home?" Mr. Genova asks, playing it regularly.
"It's going good, everyone's doing fine." Drake responds, Mr. Genova nods, and the turns to me.
"And about you, Emily?" Mr. Genova asks me.
"I'm doing fine, it's getting less lonely at home because Drake is always at my house almost twenty-four seven." I answered.
"That's great to hear," Mr. Genova said with a smile. "So what are you guys here for?"
"We've decided to do the fundraiser, and help our school reach to one thousand dollars." I replied. Mrs. Kya came from around the corner, coming towards us with a box in her hands. She sets it on the table that is in front of Drake and I.
"These are the things you are going to sell around the neighborhood. Remember to be respectful to the neighbors and have fun selling." She said as she hands me a zip bag for the cash.
"Thank you Mrs. Kya." Drake said, as he took the box with both hands.
Mrs. Kya nodded and waved as we walked out.
I unlock the car with Drake's keys. I open the back seat door for him, so he can set the box down. "Thanks." Drake closes the door, and takes him keys from me. We get in, and drive off the school property.
"So where should we start?" I asked.
"Anywhere, I guess." He answered as he turned a right.
He turned into a street, and stopped in front of the first house on the street. We got out and he opened the middle seat door. He took the box and closed the door with his foot.
