"King Norman and Abrielle met each other at one of the balls that Abrielle's parents were holding. Somehow, her parents knew about King Norman's parents. Anyways, after King Norman saw Abrielle for the first time, he tried ignoring her, though he loved her but he knew that her family and her lived so far away from him." Helene explained.
"Abrielle liked him back and wanted to do a love meter to see if it was true. She asked three questions to King Norman and the results she got said King Norman was in the love meter. She did the same to herself and she found herself in the love meter and she wanted to start dating King Norman. Of course, King Norman wasn't so sure about because what would his parents think about them being together. But, he started to go with Abrielle anyhow, but of course he did it behind his parents back without letting them know." She murmurs.
"They don't have mind reading abilities, so his secret was safe, plus he was an only child, so he didn't have to worry about any younger or older siblings spilling his secret out. King Norman soon found out why Abrielle asked him those questions that day. He didn't believe in the love meter but he kept on going out with Abrielle. They soon got eloped and moved out of the country to get married without their parent's permission." A small smile appeared on Helene's face.
"Well, Abrielle's parents knew about it but they were all for it. They were the ones who paid for the wedding; they were the ones who set it up and everything, with a little help from their relatives that lived far away. A little later after they were married, King Norman started believing in the love meter. After Abrielle gave birth to Vladimir, the second son, she died. That's when King Norman's life fell apart after that, and ever since he's been worse than he has been before she died. He used to be so nice, but ever since her death, he's been nothing but malevolent." Helene paused to take a break."I never knew he had been in so much pain this whole time." I said. "I feel so bad."
"When I found out the day she died, it was two hours later after Vladimir was born, it was a very sad day. Abrielle was the main reason he was happy before she died. She kept his spirits up. She loved him with all her heart, and I bet she isn't happy when he's always so distraught, but mostly sad because of his wife." Helene says in a quiet and sad voice. "I wish she was still alive so she could keep him happy." The room becomes silent for a moment. "Well, that is their story, got what you wanted to hear?"
"Yes," I answer. "But, can you tell me where Drake is so I can talk to him?"
"Um." She says nervously.
"He's at......work." She says quietly.
I become astonished of her reply. "Work?"
"Yes." She replies with a nod.
"Can you tell me where he works?"
"He works for the government, technically, well he just blocks off hackers from getting into their systems and cameras." She says in a voice that I can tell she is a bit nervous about telling me all of this. "His work hours are Monday through Friday, same as yours, though he works after he drops you from work and until midnight. Sometimes he gets the evenings off, but it depends on how much they need help. When people ask Drake where he works, he just replies that he works at an office. Lately he has been able to get some time off in the evenings around the time you get off work so he could hang out with you." She says with a little nervousness.
"Sorry if you're nervous about telling me about it; I won't ask any more questions." I apologize with discomfort.
"It's alright." Helene answers trying to sound happy.
"So Drake won't come back until midnight?" I ask. I was hoping to see Drake today and talk to him.
"Yes, that's right." She said still sounding a little tense, though I wouldn't blame her, I would be too if I was her right now. "Did you want to see him for something?"
