Chapter Twelve
“Cup-a-noodles!!” said Michelle running towards me.
I ran in a random direction shielding my noodles and was laughing like a retard.
“Everyone! After Gwen!!” shouted Catherine.
I turned back to see everyone run after me, of course, everyone but Sean.
Kate, Amanda, Chase, Jack, Michelle, Andrew, Paige and Rayna closed up on me, with evil grins on their face.
And just like that, all my noodles were over.
“You didn’t give me any” said Megan with a frown on her face.
“You wouldn’t eat it anyway. It was non-veg” I reasoned.
“Okay, losers get back to work” ordered Mr Mikaelson.
Paige caught my eye and we got to work. We did collect quite a few specimens but we eventually ended up having a leaf fight, if there is any such thing like that. So, obviously we lost.
We had to clean up after everyone but it wasn’t that bad to be frank. I hadn’t met Sean after what happened but did steal a few glances, I wanted to thank him but he was always occupied.
“And we danced all night, to THE BEST SONG EVER!” I heard Paige sing softly.
I cleared my throat and she stopped immediately. Paige like most of the members of the group didn’t like one direction but I occasionally caught her singing Kiss you and BSE!
“Maybe it’s the way she walked” I sang loudly, no one was around so I made the most of it.
“Straight into my heart and stole it” said Meg joining in. We did the steps and put up a little show of our own.
“I don’t know you people” said Paige as she walked away in between.
When we finished we heard someone laughing.
“Would you do us the pleasure of an encore?” We turned to see Trent and Shane walking towards us.
“Oh! How nice of you all to come and help me?” I said smirking.
“Since we have nothing else to do, we shall come to the rescue of the damsel in distress” said Shane
“You can start with this” I said handing over a trash bag.
“How is your hand now?” asked Trent.
“Can’t feel a thing.” Lifting it up showing him the bandage.
“That doesn’t mean you don’t take care” he said.
“Gosh! Ok. Speaking of taking care, how is Kylie?” I asked.
“She is doing ok. We had to put socks on her hands!”
“Pity her” I said genuinely. I knew what it must be like and trust me it sucked.
It was late in the evening and I couldn’t see anyone anywhere near, not even Shane and Meg.
“Where is everbody?” voicing my thoughts.
“They are by the lake.” He said pointing in that direction.
“Let’s go” he said grabbing my hand.
For once, everyone was quiet. No one would have believed that these were the same high school kids who occupied the hallways and classes of Westward High.
