Chapter three – Knock Knock !!

“A teddy bear, seriously?”

“No? okay then teddy, you are out” said Shane throwing it back.

I am here with Shane helping him buy a gift for Meg. Which guy would give a teddy bear to their girlfriend as their one year anniversary present? When will guys understand what we like?

“How about this?” He said holding up an expensive bottle of perfume.

“Put that back, right now please” Does he want to give Meg  the impression that she stinks ? She has got loads of them at home anyway.

“You know what? Let’s eat something first and then we’ll start looking again” I suggested.

“Alright”

We headed to the food court and ate some bagels. I wiped my mouth with tissue and put our trays into place.

“Soooooo…… where to now?” I asked.

He glanced around and then headed in the opposite direction, leaving me behind like I wasn’t even there.

“Shane !!”

“Oh! Ya. Umm, I’ll be back in a bit. Till then why don’t you get yourself an ice-cream or something?”

My eyebrows were now scrunched up, something is fishy and I know it.

“Ya, sure.” And headed in the direction of Gelato.

I know it was all very tempting but instead I decided follow Shaney boy.

He turned left , went to the other side and into a small store.

I was a little delayed because I was being all sneaky ninja.

I peeked in and they were in the middle of a conversation.

“Do you have a picture?”

“Umm, yup. It should be…. “ He was searching his pockets.

He took out his wallet “Right here”

When I saw the picture, I was shocked, surprised, overwhelmed and very happy.

He was so whipped and love sick that he kept their photo in his wallet.

Oh! How I wish I find someone like that.

I was just really happy for Meg, she totally deserved him.

I wanted to see what he bought for her so badly but if he didn’t want me to know, I will respect that.

I headed to Gelato to celebrate my happiness.

“ I’ll have a Madagascar chocolate cone” and placed the money on the counter.

While I was waiting, Cruella and Janine came and placed their order.

“Here you go ma’am” said the guy, giving me my ice cream.

I started licking it like there was no tomorrow. Sure I had seen “her” but even she couldn’t ruin how happy I was feeling now.

Alas! I spoke to soon..

“Ugh” I groaned.

Tasha had pushed me from the side and pretended that she was in a hurry and dropped my cone of yumminess.

“Oh am so sorry” she said looking all innocent, then smirked and disappeared into the crowd with Janine looking back with an apologetic expression.
