Normal?

4 years later

There was one point in my life when I was pretty normal. It wasn't for very long but I cherished it. That one year my Mother and I were living in the same house for a while. She got a new boyfriend and they were happy together. It was the summer before my first year of middle school. Nothing too supernatural had happened this summer but who knows when it could occur.

"Ellie! Dinner!" My Mother yelled from downstairs.

"One second!" I colored in the last part of my hair. The portrait was now finished. My love for drawing had now blossomed into a passion. My room had transformed from a princess pink to a light blue like a clear summer sky. I had painted it myself. I even made clouds on the ceiling so I could look at it all the time. At night it would turn into a clear night sky with the help of my new soon-to-be Dad. I stared in amazement at my creation then made my way downstairs.

"Hey sweetie." My mother's boyfriend kissed my head.

"Hey." I smiled and grabbed a plate. Even though he was basically part of the family now, I wasn't ready to call him Dad just yet. I sat next to my Mom. Her baby bump began to emerge from her shirt. I was eleven at the time and things were going good. Unlike what my Mother said that George was good spirited, I could tell, you could see it in his eyes. I zoned out as I slowly ate my dinner till something in my backyard caught my eye. The clink of the glass on the table startled him. As I approached the window it became cold, I cupped my hands around my eyes and came into contact with the window. At first I didn't see anything until I opened the french doors leading to my patio. There was a deer but this one was white. He stared at me and chuffed. I didn't move for a while and stood as still as possible. Then I held out my hand. He sniffed the air, coming closer with every sniff. When his nose touched my hand he nuzzled it. It was like touching something much softer then silk. I moved my hand across its head and scratched it behind its ears. He chuffed in pleasure and thumped his hoof. He became closer to me and soon enough I was able to embrace him while he leaned over my shoulder. I heard footsteps in back of me.

"Honey you need to close the door its so-." He didn't finish. Instead he stared down at me to witness this magical moment take place. "Honey! Ellie is making friends with a deer." His voice sounded a little worried. She waddled over.

"Oh wow he's a pretty deer." She admired his snow white coat. Suddenly a loud noise came from the side and it scared the deer away. I watched as it majestically ran away into the trees. We all stood there cherishing what had just happened.

"Ok, what just happened." My new Dad asked. Every time something like this would happen my Mom would have to explain to them. We all walked inside and Me and my Mother explained. He was stunned by what he was hearing.

"Ive never heard anything like it. Your like a miracle child."

"Thats exactly what she is, said so by the priest himself." She smiled at me. "I couldn't be anymore lucky." Tears formed in her eyes.

"Me either." He smiled at my Mom as they locked lips. I loved the fact how they were sickly in love with each other. And I dreamt of my wedding day and the person who I would fall in love with. But who knows what the future holds. But for me no one would ever see this one coming.
