Jennifer's Point of view

The sound of my heels on the tile floor made me feel in power. But I was still pissed about the whole prom thing.

"You know what fuck it, I don't care if I get suspended or expelled. I am going to that prom." I muttered under my breath. The hallways were surprisingly quiet. I never did like being alone now that I think about it. The wind outside bashed on the windows making them curve inward slightly. I scowled. Now and then the idea of getting revenge on Ellie popped in my head. I had to think of something good. Before opening my locker I checked my phone to see what I had written down.

"Cut her hair off? No. Too obvious." I slammed my locker shut. Suddenly the hallway turned black, the only thing visible were the exit signs flashing red. I jumped a little. I dropped my phone into the darkness. "Did the power just go off?" I asked to anyone who might be in the hallway. No answer. "Hello?" Nothing. "Ugh this is so ghetto." I slid my back down my locker and waited for the power to come back on. There was a cool breeze emitting from somewhere. I guess I never thought about how creepy the school is without the power on. I shivered.

Jen....

I shifted. My name had been called almost from thin air. Or maybe it was my imagination.

Jen....

"Whos there?" I whispered. "Ill find you if you don't answer!" I listened for a reply. I heard nothing but footsteps coming my way. "Whos there!?!" I shot up to my feet.

I've been waiting Jennifer.....

"For what?!?" Panic took over my face. My hand began to shake as four sets of footsteps started walking closer and closer to me in all directions.

For this...

The footsteps stopped, I listened. Nothing happened. "Someone help me please!" I cried down the hallway.

No one can hear you, its just you and me....

The footsteps started again except they started running faster and faster and louder then ever. "Please just leave me alone!" I screamed. I had no where to go they were coming from all directions. Then outline of dark figures of a man came into sight. "NO!" Everything turned white and I could feel my body hit the ground. Iron shackles formed around my wrists and ankles. I struggled to try to get out, tears began to form in my eyes.

"HELP!" I screamed. I hoped the voice was lying when it said no one could hear me. The ceiling formed into a black hole. No end, just a beginning. Wind gusted blowing my hair in all different directions. In the black hole an image appeared. It was my old kindergarden classroom. There were all different colors on the walls and screams of joy from the children around. Then I saw Bree, she looked so young. Her teeth were crooked and her hair was a mess, she still had a slight lisp but her eyes were exactly the same. In the corner of the room the door opened. I looked at my hands and brushed them off. When I looked back up there was a short blonde girl with semi-pale skin and pink rosy cheeks.

"Anna!" Bree yelled and ran over to the girl and greeted her with a big hug.

"Anna?" I said to myself. "Oh Ellie?" I had remembered she liked to be called by her middle name rather then her first name ever since third grade. Thats impossible! Its like she transformed into a completely different person. Her hair was platinum blonde rather then the dark brown it has always been since the beginning of eighth grade. Bree was her first best friend at the school and I was the second. The image disappeared and a new one came up. This was in 7th grade, it was Ellie and I laughing together at the table with all of our other friends. Actually getting along for once. Her hair was now slightly darker. That was the year before things went wrong. But she set me too much over the edge I couldn't just let her get away from all of it. She knew I liked Brandon when they first started going out. The image disappeared once again. A new one appeared but I couldn't quiet make out what it was. It looked like Ellie was older, but she was actually pretty. People surrounded her laughing and then there was Brandon holding her hand. A figure in the back appeared. It look like the way Ellie is now. Except the figure had black hair and didn't even look like a person. My mouth dropped when I saw that it was me in Ellie's place. A nobody, invisible, non-existing. I struggled to get out of the shackles. "GET ME OUT OF HERE!"

Scary huh?.... Im here to tell you did the right thing a few years ago or she would've taken your place...... But theres still a chance for her coming back and taking your place....

I listened to the voice. "So what do you want me to do?"

I want you to finish the job...... I don't care when or how..... Just do it.....

A chill ran down my spine. Did the voice mean kill Ellie Satan? I stopped struggling. "Do you mean kill her?"

Thats up to you....

Suddenly the grip around my wrists and my ankles were broken, but I didn't know since I just laid there. Unable to move from shock. "But ill get caught!" I stood up. There was no answer. Just the howling wind of the black hole that swiped everything up. Locker doors, the exit lights, glass from the windows, and even me.
