Harry Potter Fanfiction~The Finnigans.

Chapter One~The Two Letters And Diagon Alley.

"Chloe! Shannon! You've both got letters for you by owl! Come quick loves!" Their mother shouted excitedly from down the stairs. Chloe and Shannon looked at each other happily, they've been waiting for this day for a year ever since their older brother by one year Seamus received his own letter. They both sprinted down the stairs and opened the letters. They both read: 

'HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY.

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards) 

Dear Miss Finnigan, we are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1st September. We await your own by no later than 31st July.

Chloe and Shannon's face were full of delight. They found out they were witches just after their and Seamus' parents got married when their mother told them and their father she was a witch. Their father however was not, he was a 'muggle', this meant they were 'half-blood'. This news shocked the normal Irish family a lot to say the least. The Finnigan's home was very old fashioned and quite small. 

Chloe and Shannon were non-identical twins. Chloe had long corkscrewed dirty blonde hair and bright blue eyes while Shannon had pin straight mousy brown hair and blue with light green eyes. They were both constantly smiling and telling jokes. Their brother, Seamus, had dark brown short hair and baby blue eyes. "Mother, when can we get out t'ings?" Chloe asked curiously. Her mother smiled and replied "Your brother can take you's t'morrow, can't you Seamus?" Seamus agreed. The girls felt even more excited, they loved going to Diagon Alley last year, it was so full of life and happiness. "I hope you both get in t' Gryffindor." Their father said kindly while sipping his cup of tea. "We do too father." Shannon answered. Seamus then put his arms around them and grinned widely. "I'll look after ye." Seamus promised. The girls hugged their brother. They spent the rest of the day talking about Hogwarts. 

The next morning the girls woke up early to go to Diagon Alley with Seamus. Twenty minutes later they arrived at The Leaky Cauldron. "Hi Tom." Seamus greeted the pub owner politely. His mother knew Tom very well. "Hello there Seamus." He said back. Seamus led the girls to the brick wall at the back of the pub. He tapped the four bricks to make it open to reveal the very busy Diagon Alley. The atmosphere as just like before was very happy. No one was stressed at all. Excited students rushed into different shops to buy their new equipment. A whiff of ice-cream filled their nostrils as they walked down the street. "Right, where do you want t' go first?" Seamus asked nicely as they strolled down the pavement, greeting his friends as he did so. "Owls!" The girls replied in unison. They went into Eeylops Owl Emporium to get an Owl. Chloe got a crystal white snowy owl with grey specks on it with sky blue eyes so she called her Sky. Shannon got a white barn owl with brown, black and cream wings and coal black eyes, she called her Shadow. After getting their owls they walked into Ollivanders wand shop. Chloe's wand was a 6 inches oak with a unicorn hair and Shannon's was a 10 inches oak with a centaur hair. They all got their robes sorted and got their cauldrons and books. Seamus then bumped into his best mate Dean Thomas. The girls left them catch up as they sat in The Leaky Cauldron for a while.
