Seamus followed the teachers and found Harry hiding behind the wall so he joined him. "They've found another message." Harry informed him quietly. Seamus saw the teachers gather around the wall in shock. He then saw the message which again was written in blood but this time it read 'Her Skeleton will lie in the Chamber for ever.'  Some teachers started sobbing. "Do you know what student has been taken?" Madame Hooch asked. Professor McGonagoll looked at her feet and announced "Shannon Finnigan." Seamus and Harry's hearts broke into tiny little pieces. They looked at each other in horror. They had to save her, somehow. They ran off, they couldn't deal with it. "I'm jus' goin' up t' me room..." Seamus told Harry in a shaky voice before going upstairs where he cried underneath his duvet for an hour. Both his sisters were hurt, he couldn't handle it, they were everything to him and more.

Meanwhile on the hospital wing Draco was sitting with Chloe. He held her hand in his and looked at her miserably. Earlier that morning he brought her flowers. "I miss you Chloe. Madame Pomfrey said you'll be back to normal in a few days. I'll be counting the hours. I don't know where you can hear me but, you're the world to me. I can't wait to see your perfect smile and hear your musical laugh again." Draco spoke to her lovingly. The double doors swung open and Seamus ran in, his eyes were red, it was obvious he had been crying. "Seamus?" Draco started. Seamus broke down on the floor on his knees. "It's Shannon. She's b-been t-taken. She's in the ch-chamber. She co-could be...dead." He cried. Draco was surprised. He held Seamus in his arms sympathetically. That's when Ginny and Harry darted in looking unusually happy.

"Seamus! Draco! We've got the answer!" Ginny shouted sprinting over to them with a piece of paper in her hands. "What ye on about?" Seamus said. Ginny smiled and handed them the piece of paper they had been holding into their hands. It read 'Of the many fearsome beasts and monsters that roam our land, there is none more curious or more deadly than the Basilisk, known also the King of Serpents. This snake, which may reach gigantic size, and live many hundreds of years, is born from a chicken's egg, hatched beneath a toad. It's methods of killing are most wondrous, for aside for it's deadly and venomous fangs, the Basilisk has a murderous stare, and all who are fixed with the beam of its eyes shall suffer instant death. Spiders flee before the Basilisk, for it is their mortal enemy, and the Basilisk flees only from the crowing of the rooster, which is fatal to it.' Ginny then wrote messily pipes underneath it. "I still don't get it?" Seamus commented, confusion clearly heard in the tone of his voice. "Don't you see? The monster is a Basilisk! This is why I can hear it! This is why the spiders have been acting weirdly! The only reason why no one has died because they haven't looked at it directly but only the reflection! It all makes sense!" Harry explained. Seamus and Draco smiled. "Of course! Where would the entrance be though?" Draco wondered. Harry thought for a while. "It travels in the pipes, we think it's in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom." They all agreed. Excitement coursed through them, they couldn't believe it. "We're going to save her Seamus. Now." Harry told Seamus. Seamus jumped up, kissed Chloe on the cheek goodbye and set off for Moaning Myrtle's bathroom while Draco stayed with Chloe as usual.
