Chapter Nine- The Dangerous Reflection.

During dinner Chloe's face got covered with food due to immature first years throwing it around everywhere. "I'm jus' goin' t' go an' clean up, I'll be back in a minute." She told Draco. He nodded and watched her leave. Chloe looked in the mirror in the bathroom and started to wash her hands and face when Penelope Clearwater appeared beside her. "Hello." She greeted. Penelope was in Ravenclaw and she was a Prefect. She had long wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. "Hi Penelope." Chloe replied. "You know Percy Weasley? I really like him and I don't know how to tell him." Penelope moaned as she sighed into the mirror. "Jus' be honest Penny, you'll be fine." Penelope nodded and they carried on looking in the mirror. That's when they saw the big yellow eyes in the reflection and shortly, everything went cold and black.

Shannon watched from behind the toilet door with horror. Tom once again made her release the monster. This time she witnessed her own twin sister and Penelope Clearwater fall to the ground and then later being carried to the hospital. As usual she sat in the dormitory and cried for hours.

Seamus and Draco were sitting in Potions when Professor McGonagoll asked for them. She pulled them outside the classroom and broke the news. "There's no easy way to say this... Chloe was found in the bathroom an hour ago, I'm afraid she's been petrified. I've let your parents know Seamus but I couldn't find Shannon so if you would tell her that would be appreciated. I'm sorry." Draco and Seamus' stomachs dropped. They went to the hospital wing together with out speaking once. When they arrived at the hospital they noticed Penelope Clearwater had also been petrified. Then on the bed next to her was Chloe. She lay utterly still, her eyes open and glassy. "I need t' find Shannon." Seamus commented holding his sisters icy and still hand in his, feeling tears roll down his cheeks. "Go, I'll stay with her." Draco suggested. Seamus thanked him and kissed Chloe's forehead sadly and went to find Shannon.

Seamus couldn't find her anywhere for ages but was relieved when she joined him at dinner "Ye are 'ere t'en! Been looking for ye everywhere! It's Chloe, she's been petrified." Seamus announced. Shannon wasn't listening, she looked tense and nervous and she was twisting her hands in her lap. "Did ye 'ear me? Shannon? Are ye alright?" Seamus asked feeling more worried. She didn't reply but instead was scanning around everyone on the table. "C'mon. Tell me what's wrong." She was rocking backwards and forwards slightly on her chair. "I've got t' confess t' somet'ing." Shannon mumbled, avoiding eye contact. "Okay, what is it?" He said. She looked as if she was struggling to find the right words. "What?" Shannon opened her mouth, but nothing came out and she just stared into space. "Is it do wi' the Chamber of Secrets? Have you seen somet'ing?" Seamus whispered. Shannon drew a deep breath and was about to say something when she saw Tom next to her. She jumped out of her seat like she had just been electrocuted and ran away looking scared. Seamus was bewildered. She was missing for the whole day after that. He felt extremely worried. He went to visit Chloe to find Draco talking to her so he just went up to his room but on the way he saw the teachers all rushing somewhere.
