Chapter Sixteen~The Yule Ball.

Two days before the Yule Ball Shannon, Chloe and Seamus had all received their outfits from their parents. Shannon had learned that Seamus had asked out her best friend Ginny Weasley to be his date to her surprise. Soon enough the night of the ball arrived. Harry and Draco put on their robes and made their way to the Great Hall to wait for their dates. Harry's robes were all black except except his white frilly shirt and black bow tie. Seamus wore a black long dress robe with a white shirt and black bow tie while Ginny wore a green and pink dress. Her collars and skirt were light spring green and the top half was baby pink with a hot pink band round the middle. Her hair was down with her fringe clipped back in a small bump. Harry and Draco then followed everyone's stunned gaze to find both of their dates standing at the top of the stairs.

Harry felt his jaw drop. The girl that was smiling at him from the top of the stairs looked to angelic to be her. Shannon had her hair twisted and curled up to the side. Her strapless gown was a beautiful knee length red and black one. The bottom was layered making it look like petals. A black net was just visible underneath the dress. Around the middle was a black laced band. Her heels were sparkly red shoes with cute little bows. Her face was lightly made up but her lips were painted ruby red. Harry held out his hand which she took and guided her across the room.

Draco couldn't believe that the flawless girl beaming at him was his girlfriend. How did he manage to get a girl that perfect? He felt like the luckiest guy in the world. Her hair was elegantly curled up and clipped tidily, her strapless stunning gown was a floaty dress that fell to the floor. The bodice was black and had glitter around the edges. The bottom part was a sky blue and a diamond encrusted black band wrapped around the middle. Her heels were black and glittery. Her face was naturally made up. Chloe took his awaiting hand and they strolled across the room.

The walls were decorated with sparkling silver frost with lots of garlands of mistletoe's crossing the star studded black ceiling. The tables which the houses would usually sit at had disappeared; replacing them instead were about a hundred, much small, lantern lit ones each sitting around a dozen people. Music played loudly from the stage.A swarm of people crowded around the dance floor as the champions were made to dance first. 

Once again Harry held out his hand. Shannon took it gladly and followed him on the dance floor with the other champions. When the music started playing Harry placed one hand on her waist and with the other hand held hers firmly in his. They started to perfectly dance around in a circle, just as they'd practised. They couldn't keep their eyes off each other. Huge smiles painted their faces. When the song ended they both got a drink and then decided to dance in a random spot. Shannon snaked her arms around his neck as he held her waist with both of his hands. Harry's green eyes pierced deeply into her blue ones, they were full of care and contempt. Shannon's eyes travelled up to notice there was a mistletoe above them. Harry followed her gaze to notice it too. He smiled shyly before leaning forward. Before their lips met he whispered "You're so perfect." and made their lips one. The kiss was beauteous. "Will ye b' mine 'Arry?" Shannon wondered. Harry's face lit up with lightheartedness. "Of course, you're the girl of my dreams, there's nothing I want more." Harry answered lovingly before kissing her once more as both of them felt butterflies erupt in their stomach.

Chloe was cuddled up to Draco on the bench when their favourite song by the Weird Sisters was being performed. Draco glanced over to Chloe. "Would my princess like to dance?" Draco questioned twisting her hands in his. "One shall like t' dance yes." She giggled mocking a posh accent. Draco stood up and pulled her with him and entwined his hands with hers as they made their way to the dance floor. Chloe placed her hand on his shoulder as he placed on her waist and held her free hand with the other. They both concentrated immensely so they wouldn't fall on the floor. Their loving gaze never broke apart once. Happiness filled their faces. Chloe never wanted the moment to end. Near the end of the night they were both getting tired. They were dancing so closely now that their bodies were millimetres apart. Draco stopped them. "You're so flawless, you know that right? I'm so lucky to have you sweet-heart." He said softly. He then focused his gaze on her lips. He leaned forward and when their lips nearly one Chloe made them connect. As soon as their lips were joined everything around them was oblivious to them, it was just them, in that special moment. The kiss was full of passion and enchantment. When they broke apart they both grinned with bliss. Draco kissed her cheek and the night ended.

At the end of the night everyone returned to their common rooms. That's where Harry and Shannon found Ginny and Seamus sharing their first kiss, Shannon kind of had a instinct they were going to end up together. But at that moment she didn't care, she now had her Harry, that was far more important to her.
