Chapter Fourteen~Happening Awakenings.

Shannon's eyes shot open and she scanned around the room to see the dead serpent then Seamus and Harry who had the ink soaked diary in their hands and were wearing blood drenched robes. She gasped and tears spilled down her face "Seamus- uh, 'Arry- I tried telling ye it was me but Riddle stopped me. I-I didn't mean t' I swear. H-He took over me an' I- how did ye kill t'at...snake? W-Where's Tom? Las' t'ing I saw he came ou' of the diary..." Shannon wept completely taken over by her confusion. Seamus held her hands. "It's alright sis. You're okay now." He said softly. Harry then showed her the diary and the sword. "Riddle's done. You're safe. Now come on, let's go quick." He reassured her. They helped her up and she gave them both a massive hug. "T'ank ye so much!" 

Chloe opened her eyes slowly. She felt someone holding her hand. She looked over to her right and saw it was her brother Seamus who was fast asleep. She giggled to herself. She noticed Seamus had a few cuts and bruises on his face. "Seamus!" She called poking him gently. He groaned but woke up. He looked surprised to see her staring at him. "Chloe! Ye are awake. I've missed ye so much!" He cried before hugging her tightly. "What's 'appened t' ye face?" She wondered. Seamus sighed and explained all the Tom Riddle and Shannon business that happened the week before. "Oh dear, has Shannon come t' see me?" Chloe asked after Seamus had finished his long and detailed explanation. "No. She's t' afraid. She blames herself entirely for ye attack." Seamus replied. Chloe looked disappointed. "Draco's been 'ere every single day though. He was distraught when he found ou' ye were hurt." Seamus smiled. Chloe was over the moon, Draco really did care about her, did this mean something? Perhaps it did. "I'll go fetch him if you'd like? I think he's playing Wizard Chess wi' Blaise in the great hall." Seamus suggested. Chloe agreed and watched him leave the room.

Minutes later Draco appeared at the door and he rushed over to Chloe happily. "I'm so relieved you're awake. I've- um... I've missed you Chloe." Draco said softly. Chloe grinned at him appreciatively. "I've missed ye too." She answered. Draco's grey eyes glistened at her as they pierced deeply into hers. "Seamus told me you've been 'ere everyday, ye didn't 'ave t' ye know. But t'ank ye." She spoke kindly. Draco shook his head. He held both of her hands in his, they were really warm. "I did have to be here everyday though." Chloe looked at him with a curious expression. "Why?" She questioned him. Draco looked down awkwardly before admitting to her nervously "Because I'm in love with you, when I saw you like that, it killed me. I couldn't leave you alone, I wanted to be by your side everyday until you woke up. You're my world Chloe." Chloe felt her cheeks going pink and butterflies erupting in her stomach. Did he just say that? Draco was looking at his feet and fidgeting with his hands. She lifted his chin so they were facing each other directly. "I love ye t' Draco, more than anyt'ing." She confessed while beaming at him. His face lit up with pure delight. "Then in that case, from this day forward, you're my beautiful Irish princess and I promise to protect you with my heart." Draco announced before kissing her forehead. That's when Shannon walked in.

The doors swung open. Draco and Chloe turned to see Shannon standing there. Draco stood up, said his goodbyes to Chloe, and left them giving Shannon a hug on the way out. Shannon slowly made her way to Chloe. "Hey." She said simply before sitting on the small chair next to her bed. "Hi." Chloe spoke back. Shannon couldn't hold back her tears any longer, she broke down in a matter of seconds. "Chloe, I'm so sorry. Stupid me falling for a guy in a diary. Stupid me letting myself get controlled by him. Stupid, stupid me letting ye get attacked. It's my fault ye got in 'ere in the firs' place. I tried t' end it as soon as ye got hurt, I couldn't deal wi' it. He tortured me. I don't deserve t' be 'ere, ye don't deserve a pathetic scallywag of a sister like me. Seriously it's okay if ye-" Shannon panicked before Chloe interrupted her. "Will ye shush ye moaning? Yeah ye made a mistake but everyone does. We were both in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't hate ye, I'm jus' so happy ye are alright an' still 'ere. Ye are my sister, not'ing will stop t'at of course, but most importantly ye are my best friend, I won't let anyt'ing change t'at okay? Now come 'ere ye idiot." Chloe informed her. Shannon wiped her tears away and laughed contently before giving her a hug. "I've missed ye so much." Shannon sighed sadly. Chloe sighed over-dramatically too before saying "I've missed ye too. Now let's go get some food, I'm starvin'. I get t' sit by my BOYFRIEND too." Shannon chucked and winked at her before giving her a high five while forever wishing she had a boyfriend too, forever wishing she had Harry.
