We have been driving for about an hour, going nowhere in particular. Lily and Alex were supporting each other and Lily was holding the baby that Alex brought with her. Alex and most of the lads were asleep. I was still shaking, everything happened so fast, I had no time to react. Liam told me that it was all in a 20 minute time zone. I was so scared and when the 12 year old child opened the door with a smile and after I saw Alex, my spirits were somehow lifted. It was her eyes. They were beautiful. They were a perfect shade of blue. Like the sky with no clouds. Now don't get me wrong Lily was beautiful too. But Alex some how caught my attention. Louis was still driving with a shocked expression still painted on his face. With Lily cradling the baby that Alex brought with her and the little boy was holding on to Louis’s seat and staring out into space. I was very worried too. About my mum. I really hope that she is okay. I stood up and walked over to the trio, passing sleeping lads and a sleeping Alex.

“Lou?” I said as I got to him.

“H-Harry…” Louis stumbled glancing at me with red eyes and tear stained cheeks. I put my hand on his shoulder and then looked at the boy. He was staring at me with the same blue eyes that Alex has, clear blue and fearless. He was very brave for a twelve year old.

“I’m Harry Styles. I’m sorry, I didn't get your name?” I said to him.

“Kyler,” He said staring me down, “Just Kyler.” Just Kyler? This kid really didn't like me. Lily giggled and held up the baby that she was holding. The baby was obviously a girl and she shared the same blue eyes as Alex and Kyler, they were definitely family.

“This is Arianna,” She said with a smile, “And yes, they are family, Kyler here is Alex’s younger brother, and this is her niece,” Lily said as if reading my mind, Kyler stuck his tongue out at her and she returned the favor. I came and sat next to Lily. This close I finally took in all of her features and she was wearing a 1D shirt, I knew that she would be the one that would help us out the most considering that she is a fan. She had some blood on her cheek and her ponytail was messy. Arianna was making cute baby noises and Kyler turned his attention back on the road. I looked at Lily and she blushed a little and smiled a shy smile.

“Can I ask you something?” I started.

“Sure,”

“Where are Alex’s parents? I mean she has her bro and niece what about her parents? And what about your parents? Should we look for them?” From the corner of my eye I could see Kyler tence up. Lilys expression became very cold and she said,

“They don't have parents thats why there is no last name. And my parents are in Ohio,” she said coldly.

“Okay,” I said somewhat sadly, trying not to make my saviors angry. “But if Arianna is her niece then what? Does she have another sister or br-”

“He’s dead,” I turned to look at an extremely angry looking Kyler.

“I suggest you stop talking,” I looked the other way to see Alex walking towards us. Once she was directly in front of me her blue eyes sunk deeply in my green ones, “You ask too many questions, my family is none of your business, Do you understand me?” Alex said coldly. I nodded my head and Kyler turned back to the road. After a few moments of silence Louis started to pull off of the road that we were on to the nearest city.

“NO!” Kyler yelled grabbing the wheel and pulling out of the exit. Louis slammed on the brakes and we came to a stop. Arianna started crying so Alex took her in her arms, and the sudden stop caused the rest of the lads to wake up.

“No cities, main roads, or towns!” Kyler said in frustration.

“Well it’s not like I know all this stuff like you guys do!” Louis snapped back. I was about to say that we shouldn't fight them and do what they say, but Alex beat me to it.

“Listen ingrate! We came to flipin red rocks for one reason and one reason only to save Lily, who is our family too. The last thing that we needed was five guys who don't know the first thing about survival! We are all in a war now. Ya wanna live? Then stay the hell away from places with people!” Alex preached, spitting out every word with a venomous tone. Arianna was screaming now. And putting four fingers to her mouth.

“She’s hungry,” Kyler said softly.

“Store?” Lily asked. Alex began to answer but Liam said

“By your own words we can’t,” Alex’s head snapped around to look at him, and I could have sworn that her fingers were twitching toward her gun which was in her back pocket.

“Excuse me?” Alex said angrily charging towards him and stopping only inches before his face.

“You all said no cities, main roads, or towns, stores are in cities,” He said quietly looking at the crying Arianna rather than Alex.

“Okay,” Alex said with happiness. “Come on you guys! We are finally done babysitting,” Alex came over to where Louis was sitting staring at her in shock and opened the doors and stepped out.

“Bye,” Kyler said sarcastically then jumping off and catching up to his sister and niece. Lily got up and walked to the door, she looked at each one of us sympathetically and as if she wanted to remember all five faces. She lingered on Liam and then walked out and caught up to Alex and Kyler. They walked back to the exit we swerved off of, then we watched out the back window as Alex handed Arianna to Lily and a handgun to Kyler. Alex drew two more handguns and they started walking slowly down the exit.

“Good job,” Zayn said to Liam angrily with Niall right behind them.

“What! Look at her she is so full of her self! She thinks of this like its a joke! People are dying!” Liam snapped back.

“Full of herself?” Louis stood up and glared a Liam.

“How could you say that she saved us!” Niall said angrily.

“No, she wanted to save Lily,” I added in coming to Liam’s rescue.

“Yeah, that was her plan, but look at us! My heart is still beating, and why? Because of Alex.” Louis said.

“So? If we weren't with Lily she would have never saved us!” Liam shouted. We all stayed silent after that all of us looking at the ground and after about 5 minutes Zayn broke the silence,

“But we were,”

“Zayn…” I started.

“No, he’s right. Liam, it’s true that if we weren’t there then she would have never saved us but we were, and she did. And in that parking lot, when we figured out that we wouldn't fit in her car, she could have left us. Saved the kids and Lily and left. But she didn't.” Niall said. Liam looked down sadly then said, “Okay you're right, what do we do?”

Silence.

All of us wanted to go after them but none of us would say it. Just then Niall’s belly rumbled. Louis laughed then said “Well now we have to go to the store too, don’t we?” I laughed and Louis jumped back into the drivers seat and closed the doors and turned around towards the exit.
