Harry

Alex had her arms wrapped around me as we speed through the quit town. It was already dark out. We had found and abandoned motorcycle and had gotten away from the zombies. The zombies had stopped chasing us because they heard all the honking cars. Now the traffic line is a bunch of abandoned or broken into cars with zombies sprinkled all over them.

“Hey, look! Cops and the lights are still on!” I said looking ahead at a cop car who’s lights were on and the front was positioned out from and ally.

“Let’s go they can help us all out,” Alex said from behind me.

“Ha! Two young adults, with a bat, on a stolen bike. I wonder what they will think of that.” I said slowing down as we got closer.

“Hum!? After all of what we’ve been through don’t tell me your afraid of the authorities?!” Alex sassed.

“No way!” I said smiling pulling out in front of the car and stopping. As soon as I looked inside my face fell, and my hart sank to the floor. The two offers in the car were still there but they were slumped over. From the way that they were sitting I could tell that they were dead. Alex let go of me and got of the bike.

“Alex…” I warned looking around me. She slowly approached the car and pulled open the door. The light in the car turned on and Alex looked down at the wheel and the meters. She poked her head back out and said “No gas,” then she ducked her head back in and started searching the dead cop. I looked down at the bike and noticed that we were almost out of gas.

“Here,” I looked up to see Alex handing me a gun.

“W-what?” I stumbled taking the loaded gun in my shaking hands.

“It’s for just in case,” Alex said getting back on the bike and snaking her arms around me. I started it up and started looking around for a gas station.

“Just in case what?” I asked, already knowing the answer.

“You know,” Alex said quietly. I sighed and pulled into a gas station.

“Have any money?”

“Oh this is rich, Harry Stilton from the most famous boy band in the world needs gas money?” Alex said smirking as she got off the bike.

“It’s Styles, and all my money was in my wallet and the bank, which was left in red rocks.” I said flatly, checking my pockets.

“Just go get it from the cash register in the 7/11” Alex said.

“You want me to steal it?" I asked.

"It's the end of the world, I don't think people care anymore," Alex said handing me the bat. I sighed and took it. I crossed over to the store the some lights were flickering while others were going strong and some were completely out. It was creepy I looked around the store and seeing nothing and hearing nothing I went to the back of the counter. I stared at the cash register blankly. I pushed every button and it wouldn't open.

"Oh well, dispirit times call for dispirit measures," I said to myself as I drew the bat back and hit the register repeatedly until I made a dent big enoph for me to pry the cash drawer open. I was relieved to see that it was still full of cash. I grabbed as many dolor bills as I could. My eyes landed on the muffins, I went around the counter to grab two for Alex and I. Then I heard it. Alex's scream.
