“Hey over here!” Triston yelled at a hovering helicopter. When the zombies entered the mall we ran up the stairs till we got to the roof and we locked the door behind us. But judging by the bangs on the door it wasn't long until they broke it down. The helicopter hovered above us and as it lowered the door behind us opened. Guns fired from the helicopter, and when they lowered low enough for us to jump on men in suits helped us on bored. They shut the door behind us, and flew away from the roof just in time. The seats were nice red seats, and in the middle sat a rich looking man. He wore a nice grey suit with a glistening silver watch, and his brown hair slicked back.
“Dr. Armstrong these are the two that signaled us from the roof,” A deep voice from behind me said as Tristan and I were shoved into two of the red seats that faced the man. The man looked up and smirked.
“Thank you, Gil,” He said to the man behind us as he sat down next to me. He was in a black suit and had a big gun rested at his lap. Dr. Armstrong crossed his legs and said, “Well?”
“I’m sorry sir. We just needed some help…” Tristan said. Dr. Armstrong’s smile left his face.
“And why exactly should I help you?”
“There weren't any survivors, except for us and a couple of kids!” I said angrily. What’s with this guy!?
“Oh! Was one a girl with longer brown hair, and blue eyes?” Dr. Armstrong asked, his smile returning.
“I think so. I saw a girl with long brown hair. She was with a ton of guys though, and a baby and some blonde girls too. There might have been some more, but I don’t know. It was hard to tell from the roof. They drove away in a bus,” Tristan said. I nodded remembering the chaos in the parking lot. I was glad to see Eugene die, but there were other people caught in that too. Dr. Armstrong started to laugh. As we were propped back to our feet.
“Thank you two, your information is most helpful. So Alexandra, you failed to protect another person. I can’t wait to see your next move, my little flower,” Dr. Armstrong said with another laugh. “Goodbye.” The strong men shoved us to the door and opened it. Instantly wind swarmed around us. Triston began to struggle and I screamed in horror when I realized how high we were from solid ground. With a powerful shove my feet left the helicopter, and I fell along with the love of my life, till my world went completely black...

Alex had stayed in the rain and cried for what seemed like half an hour. Harry had to carry her back. She sat with her knees to her chest still drenched and staring out the window blankly. Lily was still very torn up and had only stopped crying ten minutes before. Even Perrie got a little teary. Louis cried and was towards the back sleeping. Liberty on the other hand seemed bored. She kept huffing and puffing until I asked Alex, “Where to now?” Alex never replied, she didn’t even move.
“You need to get your head back into the game, or I am going to die,” Liberty said.
“If I had a gun, and I was in a room with Bin laden, Hitler and you, I would shoot you... Twice,” Lily said glaring at Liberty.
“You wouldn’t have the guts to do that,” Liberty said rolling her eyes.
“How much you want to bet? Who wouldn’t kill a bitch like you?” Lily asked.
“Don’t call me a bitch just because I am saying the truth,” Liberty snapped.
“Right… The ‘truth’” Lily said angrily, “It’s the end of the world and you are still concerned about how good your nails look, and your hair.” Lily finished flipping her hair with the last few words.
“No, I’m worried about everyone else too,” Liberty said.
“So when you said ‘Get your head in the game or I am going to die’ then you meant all of us? Right,” Lily said clenching her fists.
“You are just jealous, because she would protect me before you. We all know that you are using her for the same reason I am!” Liberty said putting her arm around an unresponsive Alex.
“HA. That will be the day! She would die before she chose you over me. She doesn’t know you. Infact you don’t even know her! How dare you say that to me!? I would take a bullet for her!” Lily screamed, sacring Arianna, “So tell me. Why would she pick you?”
“Because I’m more important,” Liberty said.
“Excuse me! I highly doubt that you are more important than I am to Alex. You weren’t there for her when she went through hell!” Lily spat.
“I bet all those stories are lies so that people feel bad for her,” Liberty said.
“Oh really?! So On April 3erd, 2008 I didn’t have to watch her get rapped by a man that her father was going to make her marry?! I didn’t save her in fifth grade when she tried to commit suicide because of the way she was treated?! I didn’t save her life when she tried to commit suicide again because her father left?! Then dragging her to the hospital our junior year because she almost succeeded in killing herself because her sister in law and her older brother, along with my brother, died in a car accident?! You are telling me that those are all lies?!” Lily spat. Everyone was staring at her with wide eyes except for Liberty, me, who was driving, Arianna, who was crying, and Alex, who was still completely unresponsive.
“It’s sad that you have to go to such lengths to make people feel bad for her,” Liberty said. Lily stood and practically ran to Liberty. She craned her fist back and punched with a scream of anger.
“It is sad how ignorant and selfish you are!” Lily yelled with tears threatening to spill. “You weren’t the person that had to try months on end to try to be her friend, because she wouldn’t talk to anyone! You weren’t the one that had to watch her grow up in that hell hole! She was like a fucking lab rat! Day in and day out, all her dad wanted was how much she weighed, what she had eaten, how tall she was, a full report on her actions of the day! Not once did her ever congratulate her for any of her accomplishments! Not even when she finished second in our entire class when we graduated middle school! Not once did he ever give her a hug! It was always ‘fill out the paper, Alex’ or ‘Go weigh yourself, Alex’ or ‘Sit down I need a blood sample, Alex’ or ‘What did you eat today, Alex’ or ‘Hold this snake, Alex. Are you afraid?’ or ‘Sit down, Alex. We need to test your eyes,’ And all that fucking paper! The notebooks, the file cabinets, the blood samples, the medicine, the shots, the tests, the food, and the animal!. You do not have the right to tell her to get her head in the game. She has been through hell, I guarantee it! And now, and fucking now! She still can’t get out of it. She just lost her little brother, and all you can fucking think about is how to save your own ass!” Lily screamed breathing heavily. Lily froze after a few minutes of silence, realizing all that she had just said. The two were standing face to face in front of Alex’s seat who still stared out the window blankly. I stopped the car.
“Get out,” I said clearly and angrily.
“Finally,” Liberty said. Lily tugged on Alex’s shirt.
“Come on,” She said quietly.
“Not you,” I said flatly, “Liberty. Out.”
“What?” Liberty asked. “But I’m your girlfriend!”
“Not anymore,” I said opening the door. “Out.”
“Bye-bye,” Lily said sitting next to Alex. Liberty reluctantly crossed to the door.
“Babe-”
“OUT!” I yelled. She stumbled out, and I closed the door behind her. I stepped on the gas, and we speed away. The car was silent. No doubt everyone was thinking about what Lily had said. I looked into the rearview mirror, and saw Alex burying her face into Lily’s lap. Lily was rubbing her back, and Alex’s shoulders were shaking. After a few moments muffled sobbs came from Lily’s lap.
