The Start Of It All

Akako stepped out into the warm morning air. Today would be her first official day of becoming a Genin. She was excited as she took her first steps toward the area where herself and the rest of the members in her team would be meeting their sensei for the first time.

"Akako-san! Wait for me!" She slowly turned around to see a running Naruto heading in her direction. She felt a smile tug at her lips at the sight of her best friend.

"I still can't believe I got put in a group with you two buffoons." She turned around to come face-to-face with her biggest rival.

"Good morning to you too Sasuke!" Naruto waved to him as he came up an Akako's side. Sasuke gave him a glance and turned away. Naruto balled his hands into fists and gritted his teeth. It almost made Akako smile at the memory of the two accidentally kissing, almost. But Akako never smiled.

"Let's go Akako-san, I want to be early to see Sakura-chan." Naruto scratched the back of his head.

"Let's go then, I can't wait to meet our sensei," Akako said in a monotone voice, easily hiding her excitement.

Naruto scrunched up his face, clearly unable to understand how she could be so neutral about everything. "Well, let's go then!" He said enthusiastically, grabbing her hand and running towards the meeting place.

As they arrived, Sasuke sent them a disapproving gaze.

"Sakura-chan!" Naruto rushed over to the pink-hair female ninja.

Akako blocked out any and all sound and distractions as she focused on the ground in front of her, she was determined to make a good impression on the new sensei. She was thinking of the many techniques that the sensei would teach them and how she would exceed Sasuke in their training, for hours. Much later than they were supposed to meet, the sensei appeared. Naruto and Sakura yelled at him for his horrible punctuality as Akako studied her new sensei.

He had white hair that stuck out in all directions and a face mask that covered the lower part of his face. He wore his forehead protector over his left eye.

"Konnichiwa," He greeted them. "I am Hatake Kakashi."

"Konnichiwa," Everyone muttered in response.

"I'm Uzumaki Naruto! Believe it!" Naruto yelled, fist-bumping the air.

"I'm Haruno Sakura."

"Uchiha Sasuke"

"Akako." She muttered, not wanting Kakashi-sensei knowing quite yet that Sasuke was her brother.

"Nice to meet all of you. I hate to start everything off like this, but you are not quit yet Genins."

"What?!" Naruto yelled in rage,"But I graduated, I even got this forehead protector! Believe it!" He said pointing to his head.

"Shut up and listen." Sasuke scolded him.

"Actually, today will decide if you move on as a Genin, or go back to the academy." Kakashi explained.

"Back to the academy?!" Naruto was as angry as he was confused.

"Yes, now, let me explain what will happen. You will have to get a bell before lunch time, only those with a bell will get to eat. The others will be tied to a poll and given nothing to eat as well as having to watch everyone else eat. Also, they will not pass. Another thing," He reached into a small satchel he had on his leg. "There are only three bells." He said pulling out the bells.

"What!?" Naruto screamed.

Kakashi ignored him and opened his mouth, "Begin!"

Author's Note: This is my first fanfic, so sorry if it sucks. Also, I skipped them meeting Kakashi after they got into teams, he showed up too late so they all left. Another thing, they are in a team of 4 because there was an uneven amout of graduates. Hope you like, please comment, vote, and follow. Also check out my other books. Thx. Hey y'all! So I wrote the entirety of this story in 2016 when I was 14, so there's a lot of... questionable things... in here. I do not condone pedophilia in any way, but I am too lazy to rewrite this whole story and change Akako and/or Kakashi's ages as well as the storyline, so feel free to ignore it, or stop reading if it makes you uncomfortable. Anyways, sorry about this long ass author's note, I just felt the need to clarify that.
