The First Exam

Akako's POV

We walked into a room after getting rid of a small gen-jutsu. I stood next to Kiba and his group as well as Janeiro and Taruta.

"What do you think the first test will be?" Taruta asked.

"I don't know, but I can't wait to find out!" Janeiro answered excitedly.

Before any other questions could be asked, I noticed Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura enter the room and almost immediately Naruto announced his "dominance", making him the number one target.

Good going, nucklehead.

A silver-haired boy with glasses and a Konoha forehead protector walked up to them and they talked for a while.

"Who is he?" Taruta asked.

"I don't know." Janeiro said.

The doors opened and a tall man walked in. He had an intimidating aura surrounding him and scars covered his sharp features.

"I am Ibiki, your proctracor for the first test." He began talking about rules and how not to act and blah blah blah.

"... written test..." I cut out everything he was saying.

Naruto will never pass if there is a written test.

We went into a room where everyone was randomly seated. I was sitting next to some sound guy that had bandages covering his face to my right and the silver-headed boy that was talking to my old team to my left. Infront of me was Sakura and behind me was Hinata.

"The first part of the Chunin exams is the written test. Those caught cheating will be deducted two points everytime they are caught. We have Chunin placed all over the room that will be watching you with utmost consentration. Those caught cheating more than four times will be disqualified along with their team. Any questions?" He looked around the room before explaining the tenth question that would be given half an hour into the test. "You may begin!"

I flipped over the test that had been placed infront of me and looked at the first of the nine questions.

What? Okay, I'll come back to that. I went to the next question, and then the next one, and then the next one. No Genin could answer these questions.

Hm. He didn't say you couldn't cheat you know, he only said you can't get caught.

Good thinking T, but how do I get the answers without getting... My thoughts were cut off by a loud voice from the front of the room.

"Student number twenty-one, sixteen, and twenty-four!"

Three Genins stood up and left the room.

How were they caught cheating already? Hm, I'll have to be careful.

Tantra started laughing inside my head.

What's so funny?

Kiba and Akamaru, Akamaru is getting him all the answers and relaying them to him.

I looked up, and sure enough Kiba was scribbling down answers as Akamaru barked into his ear.

Oh I see, this was never a written exam, it was a test to see our information gathering skills.

After fifteen minutes of Tantra gathering all the answers, I was done. I closed my eyes and let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding in. Now to wait for the tenth question.

"Student nineteen, twenty-six, and nine!"

Not any less than five minutes went by before Ibiki stopped everyone to give out the tenth question.

"Listen up! The tenth questions has a different set of rules than before. If you wish to forfet, do so now. If you give up, you will be able to come back and take the Chunin exams next year, however, if you stay and fail the question..." He paused for dramatic effect. "You will forever remain a Genin, never allowed to take the exams again."

There were whispers heard around the room.

Never again, huh?

A girl with purple hair raised her hand and left with her team, as well as a blue-haired boy and his team and a brunette boy and his team.

"Anyone else?"

I looked around. Slowly, a hand began to raise, it was Naruto's.

His hand raised before slamming back down on the desk. "You think you can get rid of me? Even if I am stuck as a Genin the rest of my life, that won't stop me from becoming the best Hokage ever and earning recognition and respect from all the villagers!" He pointed at Ibiki. "You don't scare me!" He sat down.

"Anyone else?" Everyone around the room seemed to be reassured after Naruto's little speech.

"No, then here is the tenth question..."

I could practically feel the tension in the room.

"You all have passed the first exam, and will be moving on to the next one!"

"What!?" Naruto shot up in his seat.

"A ninja has to be able to get over his nerves and..." blah blah blah, boring boring boring, not paying any attention whatsoever because I don't care.

There was a crash heard as the wall to the right of Ibiki was obliterated and a female walked in wearing a fish net shirt, and when I say you could see everything, I mean, you could see everything.

"Hello, I am Anko, your protractor for the second exam." She then went on fighting with Ibiki about him thinking she was too early and him passing too many students, yada yada yada.

We were soon infront of the fence around the Forest Of Death. This is supposedly where our second exam would be taken.

Anko stood infront of everyone saying things about consent forms so that our deaths wouldn't be her fault, ha ha ha, so funny. She also said something about being in there for five days and having to gather two scrolls, one of heaven and one of earth and then meeting in the tower in the center of the forest. We could only pass with both scrolls, each team would only get one of the two, blah blah blah, I'll have my team explain it to me later.

Soon enough we had handed in our consent forms and were standing infront of a gate where we would be let into the forest of death.

Well, this is going to be interesting.
