After some time spent in the flat with Sherlock with you in tow set out after John to the circus. Sherlock and you left in a separate taxi and I had deduced a little about Sarah. She was a neat freak, but a forgiving person. She and John wouldn't last all that long. Sherlock had explained the case to you while John was getting ready. It was a very particular case to try and solve. While in the cab you double checked your weapons. All you had to do was make sure they were there.
After relaxing that you hadn't some how lost any of your weapons, you stared out the window. Sherlock preferred silence anyway. As you thought about the case and how to break the code the taxi made an abrupt stop outside the building. Sherlock was out of the cab leaving you to pay. Something you already expected from him. You quickly paid and stepped out following Sherlock's head in the small crowd of people. You finally caught up to the man and fell into stride with him.
John collected his tickets and seemed to be angry that Sherlock had tagged along. You stood off to the side while they argued. You bit your lip and tried to intervene before John said something stupid while Sarah walked up from behind him. Not fast enough. You cringed and slightly shook your head, but fell behind the group. You had to try and keep Sherlock in my sights.
John and Sarah were enthralled with the show. Having worked undercover in China the show was typical and boring to some you had seen. Sherlock started spouting off facts with almost a dangerous tone. It added to Sarah's fear making her cling to John. You raised your eyebrows. Sherlock actually helped John with a girl. You just happened to glance back at the show and saw an acrobat flying over the crowd on the red curtains. You stared. Things started to click and when you went to turn to Sherlock he was gone.
You glanced around your heart pounding in fear. That curly haired genius was going to get himself killed if he wasn't careful. Which he never was. You focused on movement behind the curtain. It was some form of struggle, but you weren't sure it was Sherlock until he and the warrior from before fell into the stage area. You froze before John and you both jumped into action.
"Sherlock what the bloody hell are you thinking." You growl as the acrobat wraps the fabric around his throat. This isn't the place to be pulling out any of your weapons so a bare knuckle brawl is what you had on your hands. You elbowed the acrobat in the temple. He was shorter then you making the move easier then normal. The warrior was on John's back and when you turned to help him Sarah cracked a chair over his back. You blinked as it splintered and he ran. Sherlock ripped the left shoe off the acrobat revealing a black lotus tattoo.
As the four of you run from the building all you can think is that Mycroft lied. This wasn't any easier or normal for cases.
"Now we will never figure out the code." John grumbled defeated.
"I have faith in Sherlock." You said. He was a genius. Almost smarter than his brother even. Definitely more sneaky then his brother. Sherlock had glanced your way and narrowed his eyes almost confused. You could read him like an open book. Compliments were far and few between.
"Dinner?" John asked Sarah who was a little shaken up. She nodded enthusiastically. You and Sherlock rolled your eyes at the same time. Since you were not sitting next to a window you took the time you were in the car to close your eyes and think. You felt the taxi slow and opened your eyes. Sherlock was almost out of the door before the cab had stopped. You rolled your eyes once again and handed the driver his fare.
"So you and John solve cases together." Sarah asked. Sherlock was looking over the code that had been painted on the wall. You were sitting on the couch reading a book. You glanced up from the words to listen to Sherlock's answer.
"Obviously." He muttered annoyed.
"And this is some kind of code." She asked picking up the picture. Sherlock had already stood trying to get her to stop asking questions. You bit the inside of your cheek to keep from laughing.
