Sherlock had quickly been gaining speed in the detective world. We had been taking on cases at increasing rate. There was never a day off. Sherlock was trying to get used to having to accept the gifts that people gave him for solving cases. Sherlock was always funny because he would be dumbfounded.

It your first day off in weeks. Sherlock sat in his mind palace while you sat on his lap watching the telly. John was reading the paper which Sherlock was on the cover of. Your phone rang and you sent it straight to voicemail. You were refusing to take any cases today. Your phone started ringing again instantly and you answered it without looking at the caller ID.

"What." You grumbled.

"Moriarty has broke into the bank, released all the prisoners, and stole the crown jewels. I mean that literally." Mycroft rushed in my ear.

"Okay. So he is in jail. Why are you calling me?" You grumbled still watching the news as the breaking story broke. You growled and clicked off the telly.

"I need you and Sherlock to testify against him in court." He said. I could hear muffle whispering in the background.

"Yes, okay. Will do. Tell Lestrade I said hi. Now I am busy relaxing. Good bye." You said before hanging up and curling into Sherlock's chest.

"What was that about?" John asked not even looking up from the paper.

"Moriarty." You replied with a sneer. Sherlock's hand immediately wrapped around your waist and he squeezed you lightly.

"What did he do this time?" John asked looking up over the paper.

"He stole the crown jewels. Then he didn't leave and got caught.  Sherlock and I have to testify against him." You replied pulling a book off the side table.

"That doesn't sound like him." John whispered.

"Obviously he is up to something." You muttered finding your place in the book. You started reading ignoring John who was talking at Sherlock.

DAYS LATER

You were fiddling with your dress. Sherlock was buttoning his shirt. You looked in the mirror pushing a couple stray hairs into place. Hands wrapped around my waist.

"Relax. He won't be able to hurt you." He whispered. You  smiled.

"But he is planning something. That something probably has to do with hurting you." You muttered. Sherlock rolled his eyes before stepping out into the hall.

"Sherlock. You need to not show off. You have to promise me." John said. Sherlock huffed annoyed.

"Just be your intelligent self." John tried to repair the damage.

"Which is John? Be myself or not?" Sherlock asked. You chuckled and watched out the window while you all drove to the courthouse.

Sherlock was on the witness stand. He was talking about his relationship with Moriarty.

"He is a spider. Every time something happens he is at the center of it." Sherlock droned on. Then he lost it when he was showing off his intelligence. Which quickly lead to his arrest. You sighed.

"Miss y/n, to the stands." The judge called. You stepped up and met Moriarty's eye. He grinned and you blinked.

"Please tell us how you first met Jim."

"Formally or informally?" You replied. The judge looked taken aback. That's when you remembered that more than half the people in here couldn't know how well you knew Moriarty.

"Informally" He stated.

"Classified information." You said straightening your back already seeing how this was going to go.

"Formally then."

"Easy. We had been working the bomber case in London. Sherlock contacted Moriarty through his website to set up a meeting. I met Moriarty at the pool where he killed Carl Powers. " You replied. Moriarty grinned again, but didn't speak.

"How well do you know Moriarty?"

"Better then he thinks. I know he is left-handed. he is an adrenaline junkie. Easily bored. Like his tea with two sugars. Loves music. Doesn't like blood, but likes dropping bodies. He is incredibly observant. I would say the most intelligent in the room other than myself and Sherlock, when he was here." You answered watching Moriarty. He blinked slowly and continued smacking on his gum.

"Is he smart enough to do what he is accused?" the judge asked. You made eye contact with the jurors.

"He is smart enough to bring the end to the British government if he tried hard enough. If it weren't for Sherlock it would have already happened."

"Can you explain further?"

"No it is an ongoing case." You replied.

"How long have you known Moriarty."

"Formally for about two years."

"And informally"

"About 4 years." You whispered. Your pain was on the verge of breaking through. Your skin was crawling. You could feel Moriarty's gaze on you.

"Explain your informal relationship."

"Sorry, that is classified."

"During the time you informally knew him, did you know of his extracurricular activities."

"You mean his ability to bring death and harm to anyone he meets. Yeah I did." You growled.

"Will yo explain that further."

"No, Classified" You muttered once again.

"I am going to ask you again. I need to know about the time you knew him informally."

"And your honor. I am going to tell you. Unless you have the security clearance you and the jurors are not allowed to know about that time period. You can ask again, but it will be a waste of your breath." You said turning towards the judge. He looked taken a back.

"I can tell you this. That man. He is capable of anything.  He will tear apart families just to see their pain. I know a sociopath, but Moriarty, he is a psychopath. " You said as your eyes followed over the faces of the jurors. Everyone showed immense fear on their faces when you talked about families. Your eyes slid to Moriarty's and he winked.

"Take her to be withe Sherlock. If she won't answer the questions she can join him." The judge said. I glanced up at him. Your badge was hidden under my dress and you pulled it out.

"I think not." you whispered as you stepped down from the stands. You followed the officers making small talk. They walked up to Sherlock's cell and opened it expecting it you to walk in. You looked at Sherlock and smiled. You stepped in and when the gate slammed shut you grinned.

"Apparently classified isn't an answer." You laughed. Sherlock smiled and pulled you to sit with him. It wasn't much longer we both heard the undeniable gait of Moriarty. The cell next to us opened and the door slammed. Sherlock stood and faced the wall for a second. He looked like he was studying it.
