Henry met us outside. Thankfully it fell dark rather quick. You were still half tempted to let your hair cover the mark on your neck. We were walking through the moor. Your hand was always touching the hem of your dress. Henry kept stumbling and based on the shaking of the light from his flashlight he was quaking.
Henry walked down a little hill to the bottom of a ravine. Sherlock followed blindly and you blindly followed him. You turned to find John gone. Your heart pace picked up considerably. All of you froze when you heard a growl. You pulled your gun trying to stop the shaking in your hands proved to be rather difficult.
"JOHN!" Sherlock yelled. You cringed and stepped away from him when growling turned your attention elsewhere. You saw the outline of the HOUND. It was bigger then you expected. It turned to you and snarled, lunging. You stumbled back and took aim. Your hands were shaking once again even worse now. You fired three bullets. All seemingly missed and hit the ground. It did seem to scare the HOUND away though. All three of you stumbled from the moor and Sherlock and you yelled to John.
John found the three of you looking petrified. Henry was trying to explain what you had seen, Sherlock claimed he hadn't seen it. You really didn't have that defense. You shot at it.
"Y/n. You saw it. Right?" Henry said looking to you for conformation. You bit your lip thinking.
"I honestly have no clue what it was that I saw." You whispered. You realized you still had the gun in your hand and quickly slipped it into the holster. John glanced between the three of us.
"Let's get out of here and get some sleep. Maybe then you will know what you saw." John reasoned. You nodded following behind them. You decided to sit in front of the fire at the Inn. John was watching as Sherlock drank. You watched as he hand shook. He had seen it and he was scared.
"Fear. Such a stupid emotion. I don't want to feel it, but my body gives it away." Sherlock muttered holding up his shaking hand. You snorted agreeing with him before allowing your head to fall into your hand. Despite the fire right beside you, you arms and legs were covered in goose bumps.
"What did you see?" John asked genuinely concerned now. You didn't lift your head, but let Sherlock explain it.
"We saw a hound. Heard it even. It was huge. Black. Glowing red eyes. It was awful." Sherlock explained. Your head snapped up. The eyes were not glowing red. They were red but not glowing.
"Wait. You saw the hound. Both of you." John asked. Sherlock sighed.
"Yes, John. We saw what we thought was a giant hound. It can't be though." Sherlock said the last part more to himself. You could see the gears turning in his head. You let your own fall back into your hands. All you wanted was to sleep, put today behind you.
"John see that woman over there in the beige cardigan." Sherlock asked. You didn't look up already knowing who he was talking about.
"Yeah. What about her." John asked.
"That's Henry therapist. try and talk to her. Get what you can from her. Don't tell her what you are here for though." Sherlock said. John sputtered, but finally left. You felt Sherlock stand beside you and you lifted your head from your hands.
"Sher." You voice wavered. He just nodded and offered you his hand. You took it and refused to let it go as you both walked towards your room. John was watching the two of you walk away from across the room.
You and Sherlock stepped into the room and you dug through your bag looking for something comfortable to wear to bed.
"Love. Are you okay?" Sherlock asked. You glanced over at him. He was watching you with wary eyes.
