Frodo sat in his comfy soft chair in the sitting room next to the kitchen. On the wooden side table next to the chair Frodo sat in, sat a small leather green book that Merry and Pippin had given him. It was filled with everything that had happened on their own adventure across Middle Earth. Merry and Pippin had written it for Frodo and then given it to him so he could read all about their adventure.
The only reason why they had written the book was because they had seen and heard about how Bilbo and Frodo had written in a thick red leather book about their adventures, so they didn't want to be different. They thought even Sam wound write one too about his own perspective.
They had given it to Frodo because they knew he was leaving for the Grey Havens and because they simply didn't want it. Merry and Pippin decided they didn't need their adventure written in a book that they would never read, and because everything that had happened to them was already planted in their brains perfectly. The good and the bad of course.
Frodo, Bilbo, Gandalf, and some elves planned to leave for the Grey Havens in two days. Tomorrow night all the hobbits in the Shire were planning a goodbye party for Frodo and Bilbo's departure. It had all been Sam's fine idea. Frodo would have the hardest time leaving him most of all. Sam couldn't bare the thought either, but knew Frodo would make the right choice. He had been seeing Frodo as much as possible lately even though he had just got married to a beautiful, kindhearted hobbit named Rosie recently.
So today and half of tomorrow, Frodo would read Merry and Pippin's book. Frodo had made himself a warm cup of tea and slowly placed it down on the small wooden, side table next to where he sat. He would let it cool down before drinking it since it was boiling hot at the moment.
After setting down his tea, Frodo grabbed the green leather book and flipped to where he had left off. Basically everything he had read so far was everything that had happened when the fellowship was mainly all together. He had just read about how Aragorn told everybody that he and Sam had left to Mordor alone. So now Frodo got to read about what happened while he and Sam were gone leaving to Mordor.
Frodo felt it strange reading about his friends adventure when he hadn't been there himself. He also thought it strange how good of writers Merry and Pippin were. Better than he ever thought. Sometimes Merry wrote whole chapters and sometimes Pippin whole wrote chapters. And sometimes they both wrote together in the same chapter. There were also little notes during or at the end of some of the chapters too by Merry and Pippin. That was always fun to read and they made Frodo laugh.
Frodo propped the book up in his lap and started to continue reading silently to himself.
A/N: How does this sound? Any questions? I might not post the next chapters for a while because i want to see if this first chapter makes sense to you guys and if i should continue. Thanks for all your support and feedback! :-D
