Chapter by: Pippin
Pippin: So Merry and I have decided to go back and forth between both of us through the next chapters. I start! Enjoy!
Aragorn found Pippin facedown by some trees far away from the river. He laid his hand onto Pippin's head and then turned him around laying his head on his lap. He looked alright besides a bloody nose and the fact that he was unconscious. Legolas was scanning the area around them and was ready for another sudden ambush on them.
Aragorn laid Pippin against a tree nearby and whispered a couple of quiet words. He dampened a rag in the water and wiped off Pippin's dirty face. A couple minutes of silence went by and then Aragorn said,
"We better get going. The plan is to meet the others at the end of the river,"
Legolas nodded and Aragorn lifted Pippin upon his left shoulder.
"Do you sense anything?" asked Aragorn.
Legolas looked around and listened and then said,
"No, I think we are safe," Legolas responded.
Aragorn nodded and they started fast walking through the woods. He knew if orcs or anything spotted them now, he would by vulnerable since he only had one arm open.
Pippin: I knew all of this happened because Aragorn told me. (Just to let you know, Frodo.)
-----
About an hour later it had turned night and the stars were coming out. Aragorn had set down Pippin against another tree and then Legolas and he went looking for woods for a fire not too far away from Pippin. They didn't want to leave him alone for too long. It was getting a little chilly out too. Aragorn made a small fire and they all sat around it. Aragorn pulled out his pipe and smoked.
Pippin came back around after a while and blinked his eyes open slowly. His nose felt strange like it was being tickled with feathers. He sneezed loudly grabbing Aragorn and Legolas' attention. Aragorn and Legolas looked back to Pippin and Aragorn walked over and sat on a rock across from Pippin. Aragorn felt his forehead and then said,
"You feel okay?"
Pippin ignored the question and decided to ask his own,
"Where am I? What happened?"
Aragorn ignored that and said in a quiet voice,
"Rest now,"
"Where's Merry?" Pippin went on and looked around through the night.
"Rest now. He's fine," Aragorn said putting his pipe to his mouth again.
Pippin curled up in a ball against the tree he was still leaning against and was about to close his tired eyes when his stomach growled. He uncurled himself from his ball and asked,
"Do you have any food?"
Aragorn and Legolas shared a quick glance and then Legolas tossed a package of Lembas bread at Pippin. He caught it saying "thanks" and then unwrapped the green wrap and ate one piece. He didn't want to eat too much this time since last time he ate a lot he had gotten a horrible stomach ache. He put the other package in his pocket and asked,
"Are we safe?"
Aragorn looked up again and asked,
"Why do you saw that?" he put his pipe away.
"Boromir told Merry and I that the orcs where coming for us hobbits. Meaning me," he looked confused but went on, "Are they looking for the ring?"
Aragorn and Legolas shared another glance and then Aragorn said,
"Yes, so we are protecting you. Now go to sleep. We are leaving early tomorrow morning,"
"Where to?" Pippin asked.
Aragorn ignored that question which probably meant he should listen and go to sleep, but he said one more thing,
"I feel better, yes. My nose feels a little strange though," he sneezed again which made Aragorn jump a little.
Pippin was ignored again, so he layed down on the opposite side of the fire then Aragorn and Legolas. He got comfortable and then eventually went to sleep.
