Chapter By: Merry and Pippin
Pippin: Yah a chapter by both of us again!
Merry and Pippin embraced into a huge hug, not ever wanting to let go. Pippin opened his eyes and saw Boromir, Gimli, and Legolas coming their way too. More than half the Fellowship was back together and well. Boromir came over to Merry and Pippin and said quietly,
"There you are," he shook Pippin's hair with his hand and Pippin smiled up at him.
Merry and Pippin eventually let go of their hug and all they could do was smile at each other. Pippin turned to Boromir and gave him a very quick side hug and then waved at Gimli and Legolas as they walked past to go to Aragorn. Merry smiled at Aragorn and waved shyly.
Merry and Pippin turned back to each other and Merry said,
"I'm so glad you are okay! I have so much to tell you,"
"I have lots to tell you too," replied Pippin.
Neither one of them wanted to admit they had missed each other because they already knew.
Pippin: I missed Merry more.
Merry: No Frodo, I missed Pip more.
Pippin: Never!
Merry: Yes!
Pippin: Maybe it was an equal amount of miss?
Merry: Nope.
Pippin: Oh, okay then.
Merry: Sorry Frodo for wasting your time, we will argue this out later.
Everybody walked over to the small fire that Aragorn had made. After a short meeting with everyone, they decided that everyone would leave early the next morning in search for Frodo and Sam. After the meeting, Merry and Pippin went to sit by the river. It was getting dark out and it started to sprinkle rain.
Pippin showed Merry his handmade fishing rod and his Planchgo pit mountain he had made that day. Showing him this reminded him of the fruit he had saved for Merry. He pulled it out of his pocket and handed it to Merry so he could try it. Merry ate it happily and then put his pit on the very top of the pit mountain.
After that, Merry and Pippin sat in the rain and told their own stories to each other. The rain made them feel warm instead of cold that night. Aragorn explained how you feel rain by the mood you are in. If you are upset, sad, or afraid, the rain would make you uncomfortable and cold. But if you are happy, excited, or cheerful, the rain would make you feel comfortable and warm. This made sense and it was true because they were both happy.
Pippin told all about what had happened to him and went into detail about fishing and the Planchgo fruits.
Merry: I was very proud that Pippin made the fishing rod that I showed him how to make... (I missed Pip more)
Pippin: I can see that last sentence you know!
Merry told about the troll situation and how terrifying it was, but how brave he was through it all. After explaining everything to each other, they laid down under a tree to get shelter from the rain. They both eventually shut their eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.
