Chapter By: Merry and Pippin

Merry: This chapter is going to be a little different because... we aren't in it!!!

Pippin: So this chapter will be in Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli's prospective. The reason why we know all this stuff is because we asked them what happened once the whole adventure was over. Make sense?

Back at the cave area, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli were fighting off the rest of the Kamuto creatures. Many flew away and many died, but still could be restored if another Kamuto touched its horns to a dead one. Aragorn ran back inside the cave and called to the Hobbits. He waited for a response, but there was none. No sound at all; silence.

He remembered Boromir and found him on the ground in front of their recent hiding place behind the rocks. Aragorn crouched down to Boromir's level and placed his hand on his heart and his other hand on Boromir's shoulder and whispered a few quiet words to him. Legolas and Gimli watched in silence.

After about a minute, Aragorn placed Boromir onto his back and placed his sword into both of his hands and place his hands over his chest.

"Rest in peace my friend," Aragorn whispered and then crouched over more and kissed the top of Boromir's forehead.

Aragorn got up slowly and searched the hiding place they had been in. But he was saddened to see there were no Hobbits. But right before he was about to turn around, something caught his eye in the corner of the rock cave. It was Pippin's fishing rod he realized. The memories of them fishing together rushed over him strongly and he remembered how Pippin had made him smile and laugh by the river even when they had been in big trouble. He picked up the fishing rod and placed it next to Boromir.

Aragorn then rushed out of the cave to get some fresh air. Gimli came out next, and then Legolas close behind.

"We failed. The Fellowship is broken," Gimli said half sad and half angry throwing up his hands.

Aragorn turned around and said,

"The Fellowship is broken, yes. But no one's alone in this fight. Frodo and Sam, Merry and Pippin, and us," Aragorn said gesturing to the three of them standing there. Then he put his hand on Gimli's shoulder and continued, "But even though we are together, we can't just stand here and do nothing. We can't let Merry and Pippin suffer in the hands of Sarumon. Can we?"

Legolas and Gimli said nothing and stayed quiet, so Aragorn went on,

"No, not while we have some strength left,"

Legolas looked up from the ground and smiled. Gimli rested his own hand over Aragorn's and nodded. Now everybody was smiling amongst each other.

"We will catch up to those Urkai- Hai, so we will travel light," Aragorn said and fixed his belt and sword, "Lets hunt some orc!"

Then the three companions broke into running across the rocky and dessert- ish plain in hope to find their friends.
