I turned over being awoken by the light sky shiny through the window. I noticed Harry almost halfway on top of me and silently giggled. I stretched and then sat up grabbing my phone seeing school had already started and 2nd period was half way over. I saw a text from Mae.
Mae: Hope you're okay we're not mad text us we wanna just talk
I took a deep breath and sighed just before Harry started to move and rubbed his eyes.
"Did I wake you?" I said smiling. He shook his head with his eyes closed. I leaned down on top of him and kissed him before he sat up with me still on top of him.
"I guess we're not going to school." He said looking over at the alarm clock that was on the nightstand next to the bed.
I got off of him and stood up starting to walk to the kitchen. I pulled out a chair and sat down putting my head down on the table.
"You didn't have to wake up you know." Harry said filling up a glass of water.
"But if I didn't I would be asleep all day." I said smiling with my eyes closed.
Harry walked over to the table and sat down next to me. I looked over at his cup and took it from him taking a sip of his water. I gave it back letting out a sigh trying to think what we were going to do all day.
I stood up pushing my chair back stretching as Harry also stood up. I walked out of the kitchen and into the living room flopping down onto the couch. Harry came and sat next to me sitting his water in the coffee table next to us. We sat in silence for several minutes before Harry reached over grabbing the remote and turning on the tv. He switched it to the news and we started to watch even though nothing exciting was happening. I felt my phone buzz in my hands and looked down to see a text from lia.
Lia: Please tell me you're okay. I'm sorry.
I stared at it for a moment before being started at Harry talking.
"Sounds like a problem."
"Oh um no it's fine." I said looking up at him and nervously laughing.
"Everything's okay?"
"Mmm hmm." I said with a soft look on my face.
"You need to tell me more about you." Harry said breaking me silence.
"Me?" I said laughing. I stopped once I noticed Harry looking at me smirking with his eyebrows raised.
"I'm an only child, I live with my mom who's not even home more than half of the time and uh-" I stopped looking up at Harry.
"I'm not very interesting." I said scrunching my nose. Harry smiled and leaned toward me kissing me.
A few hours had passed by us talking and just laying around before we decided to go out to get food. When we arrived at the local pizza place it was around 12:15. As we walked inside two girls turned around from ordering at the counter and I immediately recognized them knowing it was lunch break at school. I felt like my heart skipped a beat, but I didn't have much trouble with it until they looked over at Harry and I and started whispering once they walked away. I tried to keep all of the composure I had and caught my breath once Harry started talking to me.
"Don't worry about them. You're okay?" I turned around looking at him and nodding my head trying to focus on breathing. Once we got our food we decided to take it with us.
"I have to go somewhere."
"Hmm?" Harry said looking up.
"To Lias. We should probably just talk so I-"
"Yea alright." Harry said smiling and nodding. I quickly texted Lia telling her I was on the way to her house. We finished eating in the car by the time we got to Lias. We sat in the driveway for several minutes not know what to do since i wouldn't have a ride back before I finally leaned over and kissed Harry and rushed out of the car. I noticed Harry following me and hoped Lia and Mae wouldn't mind.
I walked over to the garage and punched in the code. We walked in and I threw my stuff down on the counter and saw Lia and Mae come out of the hallway. Mae smiled and followed Lia over to the couch before they stopped seeing Harry.
"Hi Harry." Mae said.
"Hello Mae." Harry responded. I took a deep breath trying to think even though my brain was running at a mile a minute.
"Um uh-" I started trying to get my words out.
"Harry! My dog is in the backyard I think maybe you should go say hi." Lia said followed by me turning around giving him a nervous smile.
"Yea." Harry said with a soft laugh. As he walked to the door I mouthed thank you then walked over to the couch as Lia and Mae followed.
"We're really sorry. We can't stop you from being with him and we're not going to we just don't want you to get hurt- We want you to be happy."
"I am." I said thinking about Harry, but having everything else still in the back of my mind.
"And we don't want this to get like it was before. People aren't always nice El you already had a bad time with it in middle school we don't want things to turn out bad."
"Okay." I said accepting it and shaking my head. They stayed silent and looked at each other.
"I like him. Things have been worked out and It's different now so I'm going to be with him wether you support me or not, but I hope you do because losing you guys would suck, but not as much as being around people who don't support me." They both stared at me in shock before Mae smiled and lunged toward me hugging me. When she pulled back I could see Lia was smiling and she nodded her head at me.
"What time is it?" Mae said looking over at Lia.
"Time to go." Lia continued standing up. I walked over to the backyard and saw Harry sitting on the deck with Lias chocolate lab.
"I'm sorry about that I-" I stopped once Harry stood up and turned around looking at me. He leaned in to kiss me and I stood up on my tippy toes.
"Are you coming El?" Mae said as we walked back inside.
"We should probably go." I said looking up at Harry. Harry nodded and we proceeded out of the door and back to his car.
