HARRYS POV
I sat in class thinking of a way to ditch when I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I quickly checked it to see a text from Ellie.
El: I love you
I replied saying I love you too then asking what was going on. She didn't reply so I asked to used the restroom leaving as fast as I could. After I called her with no answer I decided to drive to her house.
The whole ride every breath I took I could feel my chest getting tighter and tighter. When I reached her house I ran up the driveway and ran to the door. I knocked on the door several times, but there was no response.
"Ellie." I said ringing the doorbell and knocking some more.
I stepped back thinking of a way to get in. I lifted the mat they had in front of the door but there was no key. I ran around to the side of the house and attempted to open a window, but it was locked. I looked behind me seeing rocks trying to decide if it was worth it. When I swallowed I could feel how tight my throat was so I quickly turned around and grabbed a rock throwing it at the window.
After the window smashed into pieces I quickly climbed through into her house.
"Ellorie?" I said walking into her living room. I continued to search around more when I saw her bathroom door was closed.
I ran over to it opening it seeing her laying on the ground. Everything around me started to move in slow motion. I ran over to her bending down picking her up in my arms. I couldn't feel myself breathing, but I looked up and saw an empty pill bottle on the counter.
I looked down at her feeling like my world was crashing down around me. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called 911 as fast as I could. I continued to hold her in my arm not being able to hold it together when I looked up to blurry motion around me noticing it was the paramedics.
They started to ask me questions, but I couldn't answer them. They started to take her away from me on a gurney and one paramedic came over to me stepping a face mask to me that was connected to an oxygen bag. They led me to the ambulance and helped me inside as they soon sped away to the hospital.
I sat in the waiting room staring at the floor not believing anything that had happened in the past hour. More and more people started to arrive. People had came up to me hugging me and saying things that I don't remember. I looked up when I saw a doctor walk over to the waiting area.
She walked over to Ellie's grandparents and pointed them over to a hallway. I quickly ran up to them asking what was going on.
"They said she's stable and we can see her, but only family right now. I'm sorry we'll keep you updated." Her grandfather said to me before they waked away. I walked back over to where I was sitting and sat down.
What seamed like a few minutes later Lia and Mae arrived and came rushing over to me. They were both talking at once crying and yelling, but I couldn't hearing anything they were saying.
After we all calmed down we sat together in the waiting room. We did this for hours before her grandfather finally came out to talk to us.
"They said you can come visit now." He said looking at me. He looked over at Lia and Mae and smiled.
"You two too." He continued.
"Her moms on her way from a business trip. Can't believe she had to go through this." Her grandfather said to us as we followed him down the hallway to Ellie's room.
When we go to her room I stopped at a window to her room just looking while Lia and Mae went in. They kneeled down by her bed and started to talk to her and continued to cry. I waited for them to finished before they came out and walked over to me. I stood in shock staring at her laying unconscious in the hospital bed.
"She's all I wanted. And now she's gone."
Mae looked up at me and patted my arm before walking away with Lia. I walked inside the room and took a deep breath.
"Do you think I could have just a minute alone with her?" I said lightly looking over at her grandmother. She nodded her head and stood up walking out of the room followed by her grandfather. I walked over to the bed and kneeled down grabbing her hand and taking a deep breath.
"Hey El looks like you've got yourself into a bit of a problem here." I said laughing while tears ran down my face.
"I wish you would've thought about me more. There's so much more to this than anything anyone says. I love you so much. I am so in love with you. So you stay strong because you're all I want and I can't live without you. So please-" I cut myself off and leaned over on her not being able to talk from sobbing so hard. This went on for several minutes before I thought I felt my hand being squeezed.
I sat up and saw she was looking at me with her big blue eyes and even with the tube in her mouth we smiled at each other before the nurses came in and took over.
