"Um, excuse me, are you Stanford Pines?" you ask, lightly tapping the snoring old man on the shoulder.
"Wha-what?! Where am I?!" he exclaims, waking up so suddenly that he almost falls out of his chair.
"I, uh, believe this is The Mystery Shack. Are you Stanford  Pines?" you ask for the second time.
"Yeah, I am. Who's asking?" he stares at you accusingly.
" I'm y/n. Your niece. You were supposed to pick me up from the bus stop over an hour ago." you remind him. He glances down at his watch.
"Oh. Right. Sorry. I guess I must have fallen asleep." He looks around. "So, uh, how did you get all the way here? Isn't it a few miles from here to the bus stop?"
"I walked." you say, finally realizing how tired you are. "Is there somewhere I can put my luggage? I'm exhausted. I had to haul it all the way here."
"Oh. Yeah, okay. Mabel! Dipper! Get down here - your cousin's arrived!" he yells.
Two kids come running down the stairs. It's true that they're your cousins, but you've never met them before. They both have brown hair and brown eyes, and are about your height. The girl - Mabel - prances down the stairs in a sweater, skirt and headband, while the boy - Dipper - walks down in khakis, a t-shirt, and a vest. You also notice that he's wearing one of the hats from the shop.
"Kids, this is y/n. She's going to be staying with you this summer, so get used to it." Stan grunts.
"Hi y/n! I'm Mabel! I'm so excited to finally meet you!" Mabel grins, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
"I'm Dipper." the boy holds out his hand and smiles sheepishly, and you shake it, returning the smile.
"Alright, alright, just show her the room so she can put away her luggage." Stan rolls his eyes.
"Oh, right, let us take some of those." Dipper and Mabel each grab a bag leaving each of you with one to carry.
"You get to sleep in our room!" Mabel smiles at you as you walk up the stairs. "That means a sleepover every night! Doesn't that sound awesome?!"
You reach the top of the stairs, where the siblings lead you down the hall and into a room with three beds already set up.
"Awesome, i'm so tired," you say, immediately dropping your luggage on the floor and flopping down onto the bed.
"We'll show you around tomorrow - It's already getting kind of late." Dipper tells you.
"Okay." you say, already getting under the sheets without bothering to change into your PJs.
Dipper looks like he wants to say something else, but then thinks better of it and gets under his own covers. Mabel does the same.
You then fall sleep within minutes, thinking about what's in store for you tomorrow.
