The Hand That Rocks - Part Four

"y/n?! y/n!"
You open your eyes to see a blurry figure next to you. A couple seconds later your vision clears, and you can tell that it's Dipper.
You feel a sharp pain in the back of your head, and when you reach your hand back you feel a pretty big bump.
"Owww." you say.
"Y/n! You're awake!" Dipper says with relief.
That's when you notice a tingling sensation all over your body. You look down to realize that you're floating in mid air, about 10 feet off the ground. You see Gideon down below, clutching at his tie and laughing.
"How are you doing this?!" you ask frantically.
You then see a figure standing outside, peering through the window. Is it? No, it couldn't be. But it is! Mabel!
Your eyes go wide,but then you relax yourself because you don't want to blow her cover.
"It's a gift," Gideon replies modestly. "Although, it also has a little to do with this." he points to the orb that's attached to his tie. It was once a dull green, but is now a neon blue. Of course, it all makes sense now. Throwing you into the wall, making people stand up for his show, it never had anything to do with the seats. And the one thing that both of those situations had in common, was him grabbing for his tie.
Out of the corner of your eye, you see Mabel opening the door as quietly as possible. Unfortunately, in order for her to do this, she also has to open it as slowly as possible. Which means you need to stall.
"What did we ever do to you?!" you ask, even though you already know the answer.
Gideon looks at you in shock. "You turned my marshmallow against me!"
You and Dipper make 'ew' faces st the sound of the word marshmallow.
"We really didn't!" Dipper protests. "She never wanted to go out with you! She just wanted to be your friend, but you kinda ruined that!"
"Is that so?" Gideon narrows his eyes. "Well then why doesn't she say that to my face?!"
"Fine! I will!" Mabel shouts from behind Gideon.
He's so shocked that he loses control for a few seconds, and you and Dipper start plummeting towards the ground.
"AHHHHHHH!!" you both scream, but he catches you about 2 feet from 'splat'.
Mabel walks up to Gideon, as if she doesn't even realize that you an Dipper are there.
"Gideon, I came to tell you that I can't go out with you anymore. But I hope we can still be friends." she puts one hand on his shoulder.
Gideon grins, "Really?"
"NO!" Mabel shrieks, ripping the orb off of his tie. "You were just about to kill my brother and best friend!!! Why would I want to be friends with you?!"
The second she took away the orb, you and Dipper had fallen the last two feet, which wasn't really that bad. You stand up, but your legs are kind of wobbly,  so you stumble backwards a few steps before bracing yourself on a windowsill to recover.
Gideon tuns towards you, his gaze deadly. "THIS IS YOUR FAULT!" he shrieks, pointing directly at you.
"What?! How is this m-" your cut off by him lunging at you, the force of it throwing you backward and straight through the window.
"y/n-" you hear for a split second, but after that it's all rushing wind.
You and Gideon spin through the air rapidly, and whenever your on top you can see that you're falling down the face of a sheer cliff, hundreds of feet from the ground. This fall will surely kill you both. Your eyes water, and you can't tell if it's from the wind that's stinging them, or from tears knowing that this is it. Gideon tries hitting you, but you kick him before he can, sending him a couple feet away from you. You crane your neck around to see the ground rising at a very fast rate. 70 feet, 50 feet, 30 feet. You close your eyes and wait for impact, but it never comes.
You feel the tingling sensation again, an feel your feet rest gently on the ground. You open your eyes to see Mabel and Dipper floating down from above, Mabel holding the orb up above her head.
Mabel has set you down in a standing position, but that doesn't really matter because as soon as your own weight is restored, you collapse to the  ground. You roll onto your back, so you're facing the sky and the cliff that you jut fell off of.
"Y/n? Are you alright?"'Dipper calls from where he's coming down next to Mabel.
"Yup, I just need a minute." you call back, your voice cracking. You never cry, but that fall had been absolutely terrifying, and you definitely didn't want Dipper and Mabel to see. You were also pretty sure that you had just developed a severe fear of heights. You sit up, turning your back towards them, and drying your face as quickly as you can on your shirt sleeve. Once you're done, you turn back towards them.
"This isn't the last you'll see of little, ol,me." Gideon hisses, disappearing into the woods.
"Lets go back to the shack." Mabel says.
She and Dipper seem to watch you carefully as you walk. You don't say anything, because you're too busy thinking about what just happened, plus your head still hurts from the wall. You're pretty shaken up, and once you get back to the shack, you speedily change into your pjs and then throw yourself onto your bed.
One thing you know for sure is: You're exhausted.
