The next morning, you're eating breakfast in the kitchen with Mabel when Dipper walks in.
"In your face, Mabel! I told you the journal was legit." Dipper jumps up onto a chair and starts dancing, saying over and over "I was right, I was right, I was right."
Grunkle Stan walks in, but when he sees Dipper he stops. "I . . . I don't know how to respond to this," he says, and slowly backs away.
You and Mabel laugh, but Dipper doesn't seem to notice.
You put your bowl in the sink and walk into the shop, followed by Mabel. Dipper just keeps on dancing.
"I honestly think that there could be a monster right there, in front of his face, and he wouldn't notice." Mabel tells you, and you both laugh.

Later that day, after work, you walk up to your room. You're planning on helping Dipper study the journal tonight, but when you get to the door, you freeze. There are books everywhere - and you don't mean, Dipper's books, you mean romantic novels that kids your age probably shouldn't be allowed to read. There's also various types of makeup all over the floor, and a board game set up in the middle of the room. You squint to see the name of the game, and scoff when you read that it's called 'Calling All Boys: Pre-teen Edition'.
"Uh, Dipper?" you call down the stairs, "Do you know why all this stuff's in out room?"
Dipper comes around the corner, his eyes wide.
"What do you mean by stuff?" he asks, and starts coming up the stairs.
"I mean romantic novels and makeup and some cheesy board game." you say, pointing into the room.
"Oh no." Dipper whispers as he reaches the top of the stairs. "That means . . . Mabel's having a sleepover."
Just then the door bell rings, and Mabel jogs over to answer it. Behind the door is two girls that you've never seen before, one very small with glasses and jet black hair, the other much taller with brown hair in a ponytail.
"Hey, Candy, Grenda! Are you two ready for an awesome night!" Mabel asks excidedly.
You turn around to see Dipper with his head in his hands.
"I don't see the big deal, isn't it just three girls?" you ask.
Dipper grabs your shoulders."Imagine this: Loud screaming. Boy band music played at maximum volume. Reading romantic novels out loud for every one to hear. Smearing makeup on everything in sight, including your roommates." He finishes dramatically.
"Oh." you say, a worried expression on your face.
Mabel and her friends jog past you and squeal when they see the layout of the room.
Now it's your turn to grab Dipper's shoulders."There has to be another way. Isn't there another room we could study the journal in?"
Dipper shakes his head. "No, there isn't."
"What if we divide the room." you suggest,  "We could hang up a sheet in the middle. They can do their weird stuff on one side, we can do our mystery stuff on the other."
Dipper shakes his head again. "Tried it."
"Sleep outside?"
"Tried it."
"In the bathroom?"
"Tried it."
"Downstairs?"
"Tried it." Dipper looks at you. "Face it, y/n. There's no escape."
