The Store - Part Two

Boy, was that a mistake. The chalk starts glowing a neon, sickly green.
Dipper jumps up."What - what's happening?"
"Tambry, check this out!" Nate exclaims.
"Hold on, I just have to finish typ - gah!"
One second, Tambry was there on her phone, the next she had dissolved into thin air.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" you all whip around to see Tambry reappear on one of the tvs, the one that would normally show  security camera footage.
Tambry starts frantically banging on the glass.
"Tambry!" Wendy shrieks, "Oh my god oh my god oh my god!"
"Hey, guys? Whats going on? Why are you all screaming?" Thompson calls from around the corner. You run over to see him still playing Fancy Pants Revolution.
"Thompson! Dude - stop playing! Something's wrong!" Lee yells.
"But i'm almost at the high - ahh!"
The same thing that happened to Tambry happens to Thompson; one second he's there, the next he's on the screen inside the video game, being attacked by colorful arrows.
"You're a dance machine!" the game says enthusiastically.
"No!" Thompson whines, "You're a dance machine!"
Then, out of nowhere, Mabel rises up from her corner. And you don't mean rises as in stands up, you mean rises as in she startes flying directly towards you overhead.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" you all scream in unison.
"Why have you come here and disturbed me?" Mabel yells. Except it's not Mabel's voice - it has a deeper,  more masculine tone.
Dipper pulls out his book. "Maybe we can reason with the ghost, or-"
"Yeah, i'm sure the ghost just wants to talk about his feelings." Lee makes an annoyed face, which quickly turns to fear. "Ahhhhhhhh!" he screams, and disappears, reappearing on a box of cereal.
"Hey! Let my friends go!" Nate yells, trying to run towards possessed Mabel, only to be held back by Robbie.
"I don't like your tone!" Mabel bellows.
Nate gasps, disappears, and reappears as a hog dog in the hot dog cart.
"I'm a hot dog!" he shrieks.
The only people left are you, Dipper, Wendy, and Robbie.
"What - what if we just leave now, and never come back? Then will you leave us alone?" Robbie calls out.
The ghost simply laughs at this; a deep, long laugh.
Then things start to turn upside down. Literally. First it's just small things, like bags of chips flying upward, coming to rest on the ceiling. Then you start flying upward, landing on the ceiling on your stomach.
You dive behind an upturned shelf, looking up - or down, you guess -  in time to see Dipper dive into a snack cabinet with Wendy.
Then you start to think. What did each person do to upset the ghost? Tambry was on her phone, Thompson was dancing in a video game, Lee was being sarcastic, and Nate was getting angry. You finally put the last piece into place when you see Dipper crawl out of the cabinet and get up.
"Dipper! Stop! What are you doing?!" you yell.
He either doesn't hear you or chooses to ignore you, because he keeps walking directly towards the ghost.
"Hey!" he yells, "Guess what?! I'm not a teenager!"
The ghost freezes in place, just as you had suspected it would.
Suddenly, two older people appear, one woman and one man. They float there next to Mabel, who drops to the ceiling.
The man looks surprised."Really? That's splendid!" he smiles. "Are there any more of you?"
"Yes." you call out, standing up and giving away your hiding place. "Me too."
The woman looks at the both of you. "How old are you then?"
You look at Dipper, who sighs.
"Twelve." he says. "Technically not teens." he looks behind him, and you know it's to see Wendy's reaction to all of this.
"Is there anything we can do to apologize for our friends?" you ask carefully.
The two ghosts look at each other. "Well . . . there is one thing. Do either of you know any funny little dances?"
Oh no. Your face goes pink as you remember your parents making you do the Lamby Lamby dance as a child. You know that Dipper's thinking the same thing, because it's from his mom where your family got the idea.
"Uh, is there anything else?" Dipper asks, and you know he's trying to change the subject.
"No." both ghosts burst into flames.
"Okay, okay! Well, we do know...the Lamby Lamby dance." Dipper winces.
"But, we can't do it without Lamb costumes, so yeah. Darn." you say, pretending to be bummed.
The woman snaps her fingers, and suddenly you both look like baby lambs, complete with rosey cheeks.
"Oh, boy." you say.
"Let's just get this over with." Dipper sighs.
You both perform the dance, singing the song and earning claps from the ghosts once you finish.
"Wonderful! Wonderful!" the man exclaims. "Thank you. You're all free to go."
Your normal clothes reappear, just as everything starts to fall back onto the floor.
You and Dipper land gracefully on your feet just as Wendy's friends reappear, a bit disoriented.
"What happened?" Lee asks, looking around.
"You're not going to believe it!" Wendy laughs. "The ghosts appeared, and y/n and Dipper had to . . ." you and Dipper brace yourselves for the teasing and laughter, but it doesn't come.
"Uh, so Dipper grabs this club, and just starts whaling on them, and then y/n started yelling and told them that if they ever came back, they'll be, like, sorry, and then the ghosts ran away like a couple of babies! It was so awesome!" Wendy beams.
Her friends laugh and start walking towards the store exit. She smiles at you, then motions like she's zipping her lips and throwing away the key.
You walk out of the store, receiving pats on the back and many stickers from Mabel.
"Next time we hang out, lets just stay at the shack," Wendy suggests.
You like the sound of that.
"Next time?" Dipper smiles. "Yeah, definitely. Next time."
You may be having nightmares tonight, but at least you'll get to hang out with Wendy and her friends again, hopefully sometime soon.
