2.lock your door at night
3. Do not unlock your door until morning
4. Do not wander the mansion past 11:00
5. Do not enter one of our bedrooms without our permission
6. Do not open your door for anyone. Even us

Avery was confused by a few of the rules, "I understand 1 and 5. Those are about privacy and protection. I don't understand the others though. Why do I have a curfew? And why is keeping my door locked so important?" She questioned. Everyone went silent until Kai spoke up, "Keeping your door locked throughout the night is for your protection." He said carefully, almost like he wanted to say more but didn't know how to explain. "It's already 10:30," Suho cut in, "You should go to your room." He said in a tense tone. Avery blinked,
"What?"
"You've been asleep for most of the day and all of last night. Once 6:00 hit we wanted to make sure you were alive so we woke you up." He explained, then turned to Kai, "Show Avery to her room." He said, then added, "Oh and take Chanyeol with you. I'm not letting you escort anyone alone. Especially a girl. Not since last time..." He trailed off in a whisper as he and the others dispersed to their rooms.

As Kai and Chanyeol led me to my room, Kai stopped and turned to face me, "You said earlier that you couldn't make it any farther in your condition... What did you mean?"
Avery froze, "You remembered that.."
"Yes"
"It's nothing. You don't need to concern yourself with it." She said warmly, hoping he would drop it. Kai hummed in response, but his eyes told her this wasn't over. "And here we are." Chanyeol said when they arrived at her room. Avery gently pushed the door open to reveal a sparsely decorated, dark gray room with a queen bed against the wall next to a wardrobe with a small balcony on the opposite side of the room facing the back of the mansion, "This is the only spare room we have. Make yourself comfortable." Chanyeol said as Kai checked his watch, "Chan, it's almost eleven." He said is a hushed tone, then turned to Avery," I'm sorry, but we will have to cut this short. I'll see you in the morning," he smiled and kissed the back of Avery's hand,"Sleep well, Avery." He said in a smooth tone, smiled, and left. He doesn't seem too bad Avery thought. Chanyeol, almost sensing her thoughts, walked close to her, a millimeter closer and they'd be touching, "Keep your door locked. Do not open it. No matter who is at your door or what they say. Especially Kai and Baekhyun. They... Well.. Just keep this door closed. Goodnight Avery." And with that he swiftly left the room, closing the door behind him.
Avery immediately went to the door and locked it, then moved to lay back on her bed. Chanyeol's words replayed in her mind;
"Keep your door locked. Do not open it. No matter who is at your door or what they say. Especially Kai and Baekhyun.." Why would he say something so ominous? She thought as she slipped into sleep.
