Going Home

After multiple blood transfusions from Rose to Pride and a few injections from Avery, Pride began to groan in pain as he looked at Rose,
"Rose? Is that you? I remember... pieces. What happened?"
Rose smiled happily, tears threatening to spill as she explained how they got separated. He nodded slowly,
"So you mean Father stole me?"
"Yes."
"Rose I don't wanna go back!"
Pride, now Hunter, ran up to Rose and hugged her tightly, eyes brimming with tears as she held him close,
"You'll never see him again. Some of Avery's friends are taking care of it. You're safe. We're safe. I promise."
Rose whispered softly to him as she held her brother close. A few minutes later, there was a loud banging on the door. When Avery opened it, she gasped as Kai fell into her arms. She quickly pulled him inside followed by the others,
"Ed help me. What happened to him?"
She asked the guys as Ed helped her get Kai onto the couch. Chen was the first to speak up,
"He got hit by that Father guy pretty bad."
"And he hasn't had blood in a while so he wasn't strong enough to heal."
Baekhyun cut in. Avery nodded in understanding as she addressed the boys,
"So what happened?"
"We killed them."
Luhan answered. Tao corroborated it,
"Yep. We got Gluttony and Sloth."
"Where's Envy?"
Rose cut in coldly,
"Right here."
Greed responded, throwing the unconscious homunculus down on the ground. Rose smiled at Greed,
"Thank you. All of you. I never could have done this without you."
The boys smiled,
"Well if Avery likes you then you must be worth helping."
Baekhyun said cheekily, causing a giggle to rise from Rose as she hugged her brother tightly,
"C'mon, I have a room set up for you and everything. In the meantime the rest of you should get some sleep. I'm sure you've been through a lot."
Rose said as she led Hunter further into the house, Greed following her. Avery turned to the guys,
"We'll leave tomorrow. But right now I want all five of you to go to my room and get some rest."
"But-"
Tao cut in,
"No buts. Get some rest that's an order."
Avery smirked at them as they reluctantly shuffled to her room, leaving her alone with Kai and Ed,
"What're you gonna do for him?"
Ed asked Avery. She hesitated before responding,
"I know what I need to do, but it'll make the guys mad. Especially Baekhyun."
"Why?"
"Well... I know who's blood he needs."
"Who's?"
"Mine."
Avery replied. Ed's eyes widened slightly,
"How do you know?"
"Because when he bit me he connected with me, meaning only my blood can heal him now."
"Wait he bit you???"
Ed asked in shock. Avery nodded, moving her hair to show him the bit marks,
"So now I have to give him my blood to save him. Just... watch me. Be prepared to pull me away from him and restrain him. If I tell you to get Baekhyun do it immediately."
Avery said seriously. Ed nodded in understanding as Avery held her wrist to Kai's mouth. His eyes opened weakly as he looked at her,
"It's okay Kai. I know you need to. Go ahead."
He sunk his fangs into her wrist and began drinking her blood. Shortly after he stopped and pulled her closer,
"Kai?"
"Not enough."
He mumbled before sinking his fangs into her neck. Avery sucked in a breath as he fed from her. She hit his shoulder lightly as a signal. When he didn't respond she pointed in the direction of her room and, thankfully, Ed caught on. He got up and ran down the hall to her room. Seconds later, Baekhyun was there, throwing Kai away from Avery and holding his shirt collar in an iron grip,
"You've taken enough. Stay away from her. You almost went to far."
Kai's eyes shot to Avery as she held her neck and Ed wrapped a bandage around her wrist. He looked down in shame,
"Avery I-"
"Kai it's alright. I knew this would happen that's why I told Ed to get Baekhyun. You didn't hurt me but I am a little tired. I think I'm going to get some rest."
"Yeah. And you're staying out here."
Baekhyun hissed at Kai. Who nodded sullenly and sat on the couch,
"Goodnight Avery."
Avery smiled at him,
"Goodnight Kai."
Ed and Baekhyun escorted her back to her room. Ed bid her goodnight at the door while Baekhyun went in with her, closing the door behind her as he found a spot on the floor right next to her bed. Before she fell asleep she leaned off her bed and kissed his forehead,
"Thank you Baekhyun."
She said quietly before leaning back up onto her bed and falling asleep. Baekhyun smiled to himself happily, falling asleep as well.
