"Kris."

The alpha smiled at Avery's declaration, walking over to her and placing a delicate kiss on her forehead,

"Let's go upstairs."

He said sweetly to the young girl, who in turn nodded and followed him up the stairs to his room. When they arrived, he closed the door behind them before meeting Avery on his balcony. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and kissed her cheek,

"I'm glad you chose to stay with me. I promise to love you and care for you, not just as the pack alpha, but as a man."

He turned her around in his arms and kissed her,

"I'm in love with you Avery, and I'm sorry Isabel was able to control me as easily as she was-"

"Kris, stop. I know it wasn't you."

She cupped his face in her hands, gazing into his eyes that sparkled in the moonlight,

"This right here, this is you. This is the man I fell in love with. When you first arrived in my room at the EXO-K manor, I felt a connection to you. When I stayed with you that first night, you treated me as an equal, not a prisoner. I've always felt safe around you and I know I always will. I'm in love with you, Kris. I want to be yours and I want you to be mine."

Kris pulled Avery closer to him and held her tightly in his arms, his heart swelling with love for the young girl as she spoke to him. When she finished, he pulled back slightly to look at her,

"Are you ready to become a wolf, darling?"

She nodded,

"Yes, although I'm not sure what you'll do."

Kris smiled comfortingly and led her over to his bed. They both sat down as he spoke,

"I'm going to leave a mark on you. This mark will not only signify that you're bonded to me, but it will allow you to turn into a wolf at will. Think of the mark as a tattoo. Each of us has one. Mine is on my left shoulder blade."

Avery nodded in understanding,

"Okay. I'm ready."

Kris squeezed her hand,

"This might hurt. If it does I'm sorry."

He leaned in and kissed a spot on her neck before piercing her skin with his wolf fangs. She felt that spot on her neck grow warm as the mark was formed. Her vision became clouded and she soon slipped from consciousness. Once Kris had finished, he laid her back on his bed and held her hand tightly in his, as he waited for his love to wake up.
